Two things about the wormdrive saws since they came to market- • Brand new, you should run it for 20 minutes, and then change the oil. The gears are new…and haven’t been run much. They leave shavings in the oil which should be discarded for fresh oil to remove those shavings. • Per the manual, the original and Mag 77 need to be warmed up prior to daily job site duty. This is especially important in cold weather. When I say warmed up, I mean running the saw for ten minutes. It may not seem like much, but these two things along with regular maintenance, will keep these saws running for decades.
Not sure about that. Did you get to run the saw any at all to kinda break in the brushes? I know it absolutely shouldn't be required but... Thanks for watching!
Exactly, 11.5 pounds and its considered the lightest WD circular saw. The aluminum 77 model weighs in at 14.5 pounds! Dayum! Thanks for watching Chris!
James, with saw in right hand, looking down from top, 1.5 inches on left side from blade to base edge, 3.5 inches on right side. Let me know if that helps. Thanks for watching!
