4/27/'23 6:30 p.m. Thank you very much. You truly are a master! The number of layers was astounding. You must use very light pressure. It does help to have such superior paper as you continually blended. You must use such light pressure I kept thinking your use of such dark colors was brave. It will help me in the future. What a fantastic outcome!

I followed your tutorial step by step and came out with a beautiful portrait. One thing the video does not teach and I think it would be hard tovteach, is the correct pressure. There are so many layers here that the r8ght side of her face built up too much wax on my end. I had to try and fix it with similar polychromos colors bc they dont clot like prismas. I do love how prismas blend but if you dont carefully layer lightly it builds up and turns muddy and if you start the pic with a face and hair using black, make sure to be ready with some workable fixative because I dont know about you, but no matter how careful I am, even using a barrier, somehow my color travels across the white page. Chris if you could figure out a way to do a tutorial explaining the progression of pressure here or when doing portraits that accurately displays the layering without build up, I'd love it. Im not sure how else to explain that. Beautiful work!

It ‘s such a joy to watch an artist at work. I had no idea what it takes to make a picture come to life. All the colors and the control you have to have to blend and overlap it’s pure genius . You are truly amazing. I am learning just watching but I know what you have is gifted from God. Thank you so much for sharing. I bought your book because it’s so rich in detail and because it makes me to learn that I have to slow down . I will be practicing in other books until I feel that I can do your pictures justice.
