Nice to see your skin care favorites. Seeing the sheet masks from Lancôme reminded me that I have a box. I have to use them! My friend was having problems with her eyes. Her eyes get red & she started getting sty’s. The eye doctor has her using a hot compress on her eyes for 5 minutes. This she does morning & night. After that she uses a tiny bit of Johnson’s Baby shampoo in warm water. She uses a washcloth to clean her lashes. Then she uses warm water by itself to clean the shampoo residue. This routine has stopped the problem. The doctor did mention the wipes you use but it would cost of much. Bisous, Lucy
My Dear Miss Tammy, I CANNOT believe skincare companies aren’t knocking your door down, to work with you on a skincare line, or even makeup with skincare ingredients, your unbelievably smart and well read on it, and SO hard working! (🗣””ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION SKINCARE COMPANIES””) I want to be just like you, when I grow up!
I bought the “We Love Eyes” eye cleanser and I cannot believe how wonderful it is. My eyes were tearing, hurt to blink like there was sand under my lids and I contribute it to a facial cream cleanser I was using that blocked whatever. I used it for the first time last night, and I cannot believe they already feel better and they’re not tearing and it doesn’t hurt to blink. Your videos are the BEST!! Thank you for all you do! 💯👌🏼😘
Hi Tammy, great video, not my first time watching. I have fallen off the wagon the last few months and my skin really shows it. Needed this to help me get back into my masking and exfoliating.
I too have been having problems with my eyes watering and I have small cataracts. My eye doctor told me to get Cetaphil Gentle Skin cleanser and not the facial cleanser. Absolutely loving it. It does not burn your eyes at all and you can get right in and scrub your eyelashes and it leaves your skin feeling soft and not drying at all. Love your videos!!!
Because of an earlier video, I purchased several Sanitas products that I love for my very dry skin. I really appreciate your sharing that information then and this video's Santia products will be some I will add to my next order. I have used one of the moisture masks and was great to hear more information about other Sanitas mask and how to use. I always enjoy and learn from your videos!
I love the benton's centella redness relief mask (no alcohol denat or fragrance), the Pynkang Yul essence and intensive nutrition cream, iunik beta glucan serum and the FAB anti redness serum. Fragrance free is suiting my skin better during menopause and using tretinoin. These are new faves but I still like my DHC Soothing lotion (contains lactic acid), cereve cleanser, hado labo cleansing oil and the sukoyaka suhada urea lotion which are staples. Best wishes.
I agree...it’s all about ingredients and consistency and finding products that work for ones own skin type. I like switching things around, too. One of my favorite right now is the Algenist Collagen. I really think it helps smooth my skin. Your skin is beautiful. I need to mask more. Blessings:)
Warm compress-type eye masks (Amazon) are very helpful to warm up the clogged oil glands, which in turn helps them drain. I know you prefer natural ingredients, but coconut oil (which is pore-clogging) seems counter-productive for treating clogged oil glands, and using tea tree oil in the eye area seems like it would be irritating. But, you do you!
Tammy: all my life I suffered from mild dry eyes (worse now) and always took all my makeup off at night (I use Philosophy because it can be used on eyes - most cleansers cannot) but ALWAYS suffered from eye infections, sty, etc.... until about 5 years ago - when a really well respected eye doctor FINALLY recommended Cliradex Eye Wipes!! Got them from his office but now order online!!! (You can cut them into smaller sections too ) Not ONE single issue since then ! Now, they will drop you to your knees with TINGLING PAIN ...... seriously.... but after the first month you can cut back to 2/3 times a week !,,,, no eye infections, no problems in past 5 years and helps with dry eyes too !!!!! Elle DFW⚜️
I have truly been enjoying the Perricone MD Neuropeptide Smoothing Facial conformer! My husband surprised the set to me.. because i would of NEVER spent so much.. but darn... I cannot go without! Repurchased several times now...
For fall and winter I use more retinols, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid, from different companies. I use more the Clarisonic the Kinga and the Trophy Dermabrasion. Of course masking lots of it. Now I need a steamer like yours ( Dennis Gross I think). Again great tutorial. ❤️
That silicone mask holder is brilliant! The reason I've stayed away from sheet masks is because I feel like they slip and slide on me. I have started using Vintner's Daughter serum. Not sure if I can see any real results just yet, but I'm USING it because it's fancy and VERY EXPENSIVE.
Hmmm that’s interesting the stye thing. I received a small sample of the Bioderma sensibio started using it shortly after I began I developed what seemed like white heads on my eye lash line. Now mind u I don’t use a lot of makeup or waterproof stuff around my eye. Here’s what I use concealer, mascara and eye shadow for my liner that’s it. I am still using the same products but I have stopped using the bioderma and the problem has gone away. Tammy u may want to give bioderma a break . Great video.
Always refreshing when you pop up in my feed. Great products! Any time I’ve used glycolic and it doesn’t matter the brand it ate my skin. I started using Riversol skincare ( Canadian) for very dry skin. I really think you need to check out the brand. I can’t rave enough about the eye repair treatment. After 15 years my fat pockets under eyes are diminished almost to nothing , even my under eye deep lines are softer. I seriously, am in aw. Also, Riversol glycolic peel did not eat my skin. I was scared to try it lol. Thanks Tammy...p.s I picked up the compression socks, wow, reduced my restless leg syndrome at night. What a blessing to sleep without leg cramps. Glam 35 omg what an amazing lip product!
I’ve been loving the DRMTGY sunscreen it’s amazing under make up and The Elta MD tinted is great on days when you don’t want to go all out on the foundation, loving The Timeless products!! Older video but I’m catching up!! ;)
Hi Tammy! I just love all the terrific recommendations you’ve given us all these years! Have you tried any of the products from the skin care company Defenage? I have absolutely no affiliation with them, but I really am impressed with the results I’ve had so far in the past year of using their balancing cream, serum, and mask. They only sell through their website or through plastic surgeons and dermatologists. BTW, I just bought the Lancome lipstick Ruby Queen that you recommended. I love it!
Hi Tammy, Your skin looks gorgeous!!! I need to try the Biologique Recherche Masque VIP O2 & that silicone mask cover is a great idea! I know I've seen it before, but never really paid attention to it. Thanks for sharing your favorites - I always find something new when I watch you! Wow! You're up to 135K subs, that is so wonderful! Congratulations!! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘
Hi Tammy i really liked this video , im going through changes with my aging skin, you've heped me realise i can do masks/ peels more than once every couple of weeks and im going to try a pumkin enzyme mask now too, I've only ever done The Ordinary hydroxy peel other than the odd profesiona in salon peels and watching how gorgeous your skin is has shown me it really does pay off using at home masks and peels , you are a wealth of knowledge Tammy and i thank you for sharing that, all the best Mary 🌺
I bought that Sanitas Honey Cleanser per your recommendation and I’m loving it, already have a backup and I use my dupe Foreo too. Miss Tammy you are hurting me, bought that Sanitas face cream, oh my goodness my dry skin loves it and I know it’s pricy but you don’t need much. That silicone mask cover is brilliant my dog doesn’t like it, haha😘
And styes...I got a big'un last January and it took all spring to go away. First one I'd had since college and not removing make-up at night. I went to my eye doctor and finally got a prescription but she didn't want me take it long since it was a steroid and my family has history of macular degeneration. She shared that yes, aging and per/meno related but she said my dry eye syndrome was a big factor which worsens as you age. And that my oil glands were plugging up and to do a warm compress daily to help move the oil and lubricate the eye. I am also using wipes, a drop during the day as needed and the tea tree oil cleanser. She also said to cut back on my screen time since that contributed to my dry eye.. :(
Subscribed....100x.....subscribed! I can see that glow from here! 😀 I use the botanical 50spf but get more spots when I get in the sun. This Hawaiian sun is no joke! It’s still like summer here! Shani :)
I also think it has to do with us storing deposits of oils in our eyes...What the Dr told you Tammy makes sense...Probably it is a combination of both....old age and the fact that we have oil deposit....at any age...nice to see you..stay beautiful....you and I are getting ready for our birthdays...Stay blessed...MINDY
I love that you change it up, I do too. I somehow feel after using something for so long, it's maybe not as effective? Your skin looks absolutely glowing. Beautiful my friend. I would like to try Sanitas, it sounds like a wonderful line. I get sty's once a year it seems and usually in the springtime so I attribute them to my allergies. My mother always said to get rid of them, someone needs to scare you lol. It works! When I use to get them at a young age, it really works. Isn't that weird?
I have added rose hip seed oil to my skincare. It really helps with the dry skin. I am going with the Mad Hippie Vitamin C and the vitamin A as well as some other products. I really love DR Perricone Vitamin c but it it really expensive. I wonder what is the difference.
Just found you today Tammy and I love you already! Can't wait to watch all your other videos! I am very sensitive to sunscreen too. Have you tried SuperGoop's facial sunscreen? Did that work for you?
Wow, what a fabulous video! I feel exact same, don’t care how much/little, if it works I’m getting it. The BR lait mask is incredible. Thank you. I’m still listening and shopping! Xxelaine The sty, I just got over one but mine got infected, had antibiotics...and he said it was age related....., thoroughly enjoying this video!
Regarding your eyelid, once I hit menopause I suddenly had dry eyes caused by MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction). Had to start using restasis and supposed to be doing warm compresses over my eyes twice daily along with eyelid wipes. Check out the dry eye syndrome support community group on Facebook. It is run by two optometrists who specialize in dry eye and MGD. MGD is more than likely what caused your issue. The warm compresses also help keep the material in all those glands in your upper and lower eyelids from becoming too hard which in turn causes swelling, pain, etc.
Boy did I get styes as a teenager! I feel your pain! What was the Farmacy product you mentioned? A firming product? Thanks! Oh, also, I'm really loving the Derma-E Peptide and Collagen cream! I use it once a day in the evening.
I used a Sanitas eye cream some time ago..omg! I just loved it..it was back when Ben Fuchs formulated their products... it's a different formular now🙁 still a excellent line ,however😊 I agree with you Tammy, i don't care how much a product cost if I see great results😉I'm very recently testing an eye cream by Sent'e, currently an MD only product..🤞they are using a new ingredient delivery technology..a bit pricey.. we shall see😀 are you still using Filgora/and or used the Time Filler eye cream? Thank you..loved this video 😍😘🤗
Thank you for this! So many products I would not have tried. How do you like Avène? I have been using their products for a few years, but recently I have really become obsessed. In particular, they have some great masks, lotions and cleansers that are designed for post procedure care as well as sensitive skin. Their price point is very affordable. The packaging, while cute, is pretty basic, so I think it doesn’t seem to stand out as well for people. It is also hard to find. Previously I bought their Cicalfate restorative ream on Amazon, but this month I went to their website and they have some great incentives & freebies. Also, their shipping is waaaay faster than Sephora. (I bought several things Tuesday around midnight, and they arrived yesterday- Friday - afternoon. I’m sure your location may affect this, but I was impressed. (I am not affiliated with the company in anyway! Lol, in case I sound like a commercial.). They have been around a while and I never see youtubers reviewing it, so I hope they don’t go out of biz 😬 Thanks again for another great Video!!
They also have a line for cancer patients! Isn’t that awesome? My sister in law is going through radiation for breast cancer (again!) and her skin is literally coming off. I’m going to get her some for Christmas!
Thanks for sharing the tips on styes. I’ve had two in the last year. I’ve started holding a hot wash cloth over my eyes for 1-2 minutes after washing my face (I was told steaming the area/skin helps break up the oils) and that is working. But I only do that at night. I’ll add the wipes to my morning routine.
Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. I have been having such a problem with my eyes. It may be the take the day off cleanser. Ordered the eye wipes and cleaner. Fingers crossed no more painful bumps on my lids. Ouch
Hi Tammy, thanks for all of the reviews on the mask. I am going to start incorporating some into my skin routine. My skin was oily all of my life and it has just started being dry, or dryer, it’s not extreme yet. Oh this aging business is a daily game changer it seems. Lol
@Sheila Ashley Oh! your so right Sheila, everyday brings a new adventure! My skin was always oily but now I am like the Sahara desert ugh! it’s so depressing this thing called aging!
It's the loss of estrogen....everything dries up...it is not easy the aging process...but I thank God I am able to age. I know you are too...if we could only keep just a little moisture while doing it...LOL
Have you ever tried the Kate Summerville Goat milk cleanser? It never leaves my dry skin feeling dry. the silicone mask cover is great but scares my grand kids lol. I also use the kate deep tissue repair moisturizer which has the same dispenser that your moisturizer does. I still use the super goop unseen sunscreen. I just like the silky feel of it and it works great as a primer for me.
Yes, it was just in my massive haul video...I used it a few years back but they had a problem with separation...I hadn't seen it in a while...I was at Ulta a week or so ago and there it was...I love it!
One thing I'm not using that I'm considering using, and currently checking into are growth factors do you use one? From my reading, and correct me if I'm wrong, the bioengineered ones, one that create stem cells from barley for example do not work or work as well as the ones made from actual human stem cells. I believe one product that is supposed to be very good but also comes with a hefty price tag is TNS? I was going to try a growth serum from ZO, but I believe that one is made from barley stem cells
Enjoyed seeing your favs. My mouth dropped when you said $150 mask. Lol. Yes, on using up what you have purchased. Otherwise it just goes bad. Spa at home;).❤❤
Your skin looks lovely! One of my new found faves, which I think could be one of the better dupes for SK11 essence is the Neogen essence. It has the same watery texture as the SK, and it absorbs into the skin similarly. The difference between them is the SK leaves me feeling softened and plump, whereas, the Neogen softens, plumps, and moiaturizes. I think I may like it slightly more than my SK11! I use it after my Fresh Rose Toner, and prior to my Red Light Therapy, serums, moisturizers, ect. Its one of Michelle Phans favorites as well. Amazon carrys it for $38.00. Ive used Cosrx Gslactomyces, and didnt notice results with that essence. It was very thick, didnt absorb quickly, or leave my skin feeling plump. Some have said the Neogen essence has even faded thier skin discolorations. I highly recommend it!😊
Sunscreen breaks me out as well. Elta MD clear does not, I’m sure you’ve tried it but maybe not. The tinted and the daily break me out from that line but not the clear.
Tammy Tammy Tammy I love that you love yourself and aren’t afraid to say it out loud !! It helps me love me!! So thank you 😘 This video was one of the best I’ve seen in awhile ! Fabulous!! 😘😘
Love your video thank you for giving us information about your favorite skin care for this month I wanted to ask you do you still use your Clarisonic and also could you update us on your current vitamin intake for skin care and are you still taking collagen pills ?
Just changed to a next generation sunscreen (chemical instead of my usual physical) Evy 50spf made in Sweden, big emphasis on aging UV rays. It's an aerosol foam, no alchohol, no oil. Not vegan cause it has collagen (kid formula is vegan). It's safe for around eyes, on lips and scalp. It penetrates the epidermis but does not enter the blood stream. Can be put on over any skin care and MAKEUP with a patting motion (of course under it too in the usual way). It is more stable than any other sunscreen for a full 6 hours EVEN IF YOU WASH your face, it's still there. The adult SPF is safe for babies and ultrasensitive skin and the only reason there is a kid version is because it excludes the skin care collagen, Vit C, etc... It's a bit sticky for about 20 minutes but then gone, undetectable. A little pouf of it goes a long way. Sigh. Dreamy.
A long time ago somebody told me to use Johnson’s baby shampoo to wash eyes. It’s no more tears and cuts down on bacteria🤷🏻♀️ simple solution it worked for her.
You know, I too am lucky to never have had a stye on my eyes. And I'd like to keep it that way. I'll be checking out the eyewash and wipes. Thank you so much for sharing! 😘
Help.. please!! :) Wanting to focus on skin care and anti aging this year but need a simple routine using just a few products of any price. Tammy.. Do you have a video that shows a routine like that? A more scaled down routine? I have been searching. Or does anyone know of a site out there like that? I have purchased a few products but would like a routine to see what should go together.. like just a good cleanser, toner and face cream..
I'm loving my NuFace followed by a collagen serum + Good Genes by Sunday Riley. I really like this lactic acid treatment, but it is expensive. I've ordered one by The Ordinary that should be here this week, so I'll do my own test and pretend I'm making a video!
I have become such a mask junkie! I have the sheet mask cover and I use it in the morning when doing chores.... I eat breakfast then I put on my mask and cover and off I go.
Hi Tammy, I have the same issue with my eyes and have also had a couple Melia removed. I have been using revival lash's eye lash wash after I take my eye make off with Clinique's take the day off for eyes and the combination has solved the issue for me. Question - What is your favorite peel? I am about to start Dr. Dennis Gross nightly peels.
Hi doll....how are you and your family doing? Will you be purchasing the Tati and the Shane Dawson palettes? I will have to order that eye wash too. I’ve had the same thing happen.
I will not being purchasing Tati....I have not seen Shawn Dawson...but I am imaging they will be do "much" for an aging woman.....Tati's did nothing for me...no interest at all!! I think I am losing interest in the whole palette thing unless it truly speaks to me...but, as you know....one can always change their mind!
I thought about your comment... that’s exactly Me! Can’t understand WHY we did that.... like “well I bought it but don’t want to USE it up”! So silly right? I just had to trash a ton of outdated stuff, things I bought but didn’t really like, etc! Now I’m only buying the stuff I LOVE and using it all up ! Spending less money and so much happier with my stuff!!!!❤️💋💄👠🍷💇💅🏻👙💕
So much smarter. If I get items I don’t love, I’ll use them up on my chest, arms, and hands. I used to save the items I loved the most. I think I was a beauty hoarder?!?! 🤣🤣
Me too and I don't get it...I am trying to use the stuff I love but so afraid to use it up and not be able to find it again...or I'm just a bit nuts...;-) Both maybe!?
When I was about 25, for Christmas I got an Estée Lauder blockbuster holiday makeup set. I loved it so much that I displayed it on my dresser. I would dust it off and sometimes just pick up each piece and admire it. I kept it there for years. YEARS!!!! Finally I thought I should give it a try. The pans of shadows had dried out and hardened. It was a total loss. I still couldn’t throw it away. I actually kept it on display for about another year. Oh my goodness....Is there rehab for this?!?! I am proud to say I don’t do this anymore. 👍😁
That VIP Biologique Recherché mask is great but it has mink oil in it. If you don’t wear fur why would you use mink oil? I love the line but they use a lot of animal ingredients like placenta, colostrum, mink oil, etc. just FYI
