I love this do you know why you’re feeding the knowledge to the youth out there and explains why a 15 year old looks older than me and I’m almost 30 and I looked still 19.
Yeah i wish i knew this sooner. I completely destroyed my skin by over cleansing and over exfoliating and my skin was damged bad for months until i finally underatood skin care and now im 5 months in and my skin is slowly starting to go back to normal 😅😅
Thank you!!! I wish these kinda of infos were widely available when i was younger. It'll save me a lot of money, heartache and frustration. Wear ur sunscreen kids. Take it from a 46 years old ahjumma with sunspots, that my nieces calls leopard spots.
I'm 20 and went absolutely crazy at 13 when I discovered skincare. I'm talking salicylic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin, vitamin C and lactic acid all in the same routine, twice a day, everyday till I was 17. ON MY DRY AF SKIN!! No sunscreen because my younger self didn't like the texture and feel of it on my skin like grease on sandpaper. It was expensive and my skin looked very mid for the "intricate routine" my dumb younger self thought I was doing. I looked older in the sense that my face was very textured and my skin was dull and not at all bouncy. I had some sun damage from soccer since I was outdoors a lot during the day. I'm 20 now and for the last 3 years, I've just been doing a gentle cleanser, cica toner, vitamin C serum, cetaphil moisturiser, sunscreen during AM and tretinoin during PM for acne and scarring. I look younger now than I did at 14 in the sense that my skin is bouncier, has a nice glow to it and most importantly, is healthy. No more constant redness, irritation and texture issues and my sun damage is gone for the most part!
When do you know you are overdoing it? I am 27 and am using a few actives in my routine, but always use only 1 at the same time, so only 1 active in the morning and evening etc
I love your videos so much! You have helped me out a lot with my skincare routine and my skin is finally happy because i was most definitely over doing it before. TYSM
wish someone told me this when i was 23 :'(( its been few years and ive learn that sometime less is more and i dont have to buy everything. but i love how im now 29 but some people still thinking im in my early 20s or still in college
Thank you so much. I love your advice about balance. Can you please give more input on Fraxel? Currently, It's more marketed and I'm scared to just jump into a Fraxel treatment.
I just didn't really have one in my 20s lol well not beyond washing and moisturising. I started doing more in my late 20s... I do wish I could go back and do a bit more.
I've had rosacea since I was 16. I'm now 50. I'm still having breakdowns despite using ivermectin. Is there anything else I can use in conjunction to reduce breakouts?
I am 26 years old, and have combination skin (dry now because of the weather) and acne scars on my cheeks. I use a Vitamin C toner > niacinamide 5% > a glycerin moisturiser > tretinoin 0.05% (at night) and sometimes the same everything + sunscreen during the day. My skin feels and looks better, however gets a little flaky because of the dry weather, and burns a little bit while applying the toner and niacinamide. Is what I'm using correct? I'd appreciate your input because I started making an effort on skincare after watching your videos
Maybe skip the vitamin c toner at night, and put a moisturizer on top of the tret after waiting for the tret to dry, this may help with lessening the flaking
@@shereeneidriss How long is normal for the tretinoin "purging phase"? I can't tell if I'm still dealing with that or if I need to change something in ny routine.
Hey! I’m 22 and my only skin concern is sebum production but I’ve never gotten any facials done. At night I do double cleansing and use rice serum and snail mucin followed by a thin layer of cerave healing ointment. In the mornings I just wash my face and put rice serum and sunscreen. I do use salicylic acid serum once or twice a week. Should I start incorporating retinol in my skincare?
I always over exfoliate my skin but my skin is extreamly oily and thick but now it is looking absolutely glass skin .when i started exfoliating every day...i never had irritation ......still am i doing something wrong?

I have no skincare routine except sunscreen. I wash my face in the shower every few days. I don't wear make-up and I'm 38. I don't look amazing, but I don't really get pimples or dry skin or other skin things. Do I need a skincare routine if I've never had one?
I have a question on teen skin overdone. She has exzema and i think i am overdoing it. It keeps flaring up if i do lots and when i do little, do you have any advice?
Hi I’m from Mumbai, India I work remotely and don’t go out in the sun more often … do I really need sunscreen? I have oily acne prone skin I cleanse use Zitgard and a vitamin c serum at night. This is my skin care … no sunscreen…
Hi! I'm 22 and I'm from reallyyyy close to where your family is originally from. My skin is both dry and oily, and i have no idea what i'm doing. My faily routine is just washing with a cleanser and moisturizing, and using sunscreen whenever i go out. But my nose still peels randomly and my cheeks get random mild breakouts. What should i do/what am i missing??
Hello! Dr Idriss. 26 years old, I recently started using retinol and now I have whiteheads on my forehead which I have never had. Should I stop using it?
Hello doctor. My name is Ranya andy age is 25. I have close comedones on ky jawline earline and neck area due to humid weather we had this year in our country. Now they are not curing. I use a foaming facewash, niacinamide serum at night, moisturizer and sunscreen at daytime. But still my pimples are not clearing out. Everyday I got new pimple on ky jawline. How can I cure that?
You can use it on alternate days ig! Also you may see pimples in the beginning!! I am 23 and was using retinol Alterna days but my dermatologist said not to use it at this age😑😐
Im in my initial 20s and i have hyperpigmentation around my mouth. So for that im using a serum with (Alpha arbutin, azelaic acid, Niacinamide, kojic acid, tranexamic acid). And a moisturizer, gentle cleanser and sunscreen in the morning . Is it a good routine or am i doing excess of it?
@@angieangelopoulou1196 its an indian brand i dont if it will be available in your country or not. Anyways its the derma co 2% kojic acid serum(it has kojic acid, alpha arbutin, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid)- as per the pack it should be used twice a day but i use it at night only.. Also there's another brand conscious chemist trubiom pigmentation corrector cream (kojic acid , tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, niacinamide , hyaluronic acid and licorice root extract) - but i use this one twice a week (as it was written on the cream)
