Only you make such videos. When too many products and brands are shoved down our throats making us feel like we have to have every single product in our routine, you help us unclutter our minds. You do you! ❤
Zinc is useful for acne prone skin. It works out well for active acnes and niacinamide helps clear up the spots and makes skin even. So, it's not really "NOT NEEDED ".
So true. Too much HA will eventually result in drying up skin. But Niacinamide 10% + Zinc from Minimalist has been a constant for me since 2020. Aside retinol and SNP prep peptaronic (for the peptides), minimalist's Niacinamide 10% is what I use. It has cleared up my hormonal acne and improved my skin hugely that I rarely get a zit now. But I do look for moisturizers with Niacinamide for the lazy days. The moisturisers today are pretty much all actives.
Unless you are prescribed something by a dermatologist, you need a very minimal routine. According to my personal opinion If you are below 13: moisturizer and sunscream Age 13 - 17: good face wash, moisturizer, sunscream Age 17 - 27: double cleanse, scrub , moisturizer and sunscream. Age 27+: above + actives (retinoid and vitamin c) + face oil for pm routine. The number of 30 year olds on tik tok, who say, "Look, i am in 30 something and managed to have a young skin!! Here are my secrets!" I am like girl bye! 30s is not old, comeback when you are 45 atleast and dont have pronounced smile lines. You dont get wrinkles till you are atleast 55. Lets stop scaring young girls and 20 year olds, and make them overconsume. Using skin care or even having the time for multiple steps is a privilege. So, if you have to go bare bones, get an affordable facewaah, moisturizer and sunscream. You will be set for good.
ALL YOU NEED ARE A CLEANSER, MOISTURISER AND SUNSCREEN. MAYBE AN OIL CLEANSER TO DOUBLE CLEANSE IN THE PM AND THAT’S IT! MAYBE ADD ONE SERUM IF YOU WANT TO BUT THAT’S ALL
Love love love Jovi….much needed and must appreciate the knowledge about serums you gave…i too didn’t get any benefit from hyaluronic acid serums and niacinamide serum…thanx for clearing the doubt that these are not for everyone
You are full of knowledge and it's only you that we really look forward to. I have got my hands on conscious chemist and they are really seems to be doing such thing, they are combining sunscreen with niancimide, ceramides, moisturizers with vitc and retinol. Could your review the products from this company?
My skin is very dull and not clear has spots Dnt know how, may be coz I got due to tuberculosis medication… Bt even after 2 yrs, my skin is worst… pls suggest some to clear my skin
HA acid serum and 5%niacinamide serum are great for teenage skin. May not be relevant much after 30s but for teens these solo ingredient serums are best to tackle/ prevent skin barrier, acne related issues. From start if it is taken care of with 5 % niacinamide and physical sunscreen, they pretty much never have to deal with acne, acne scarring, pigmentation from acne in future. Never have to use more types serums in future, so for this reason, I have to disagree with you Jovee. Also I'm 30yr old and 5% niacinamide is still my go to serum in case of damaged skin barrier or dealing with hormonal and adult acne ( dealing with PCOS ).
Salicylic acid and vitamin C! You don’t need them unless you’re dealing with scars or acne - and also because vitamin C is tough to find formulation that works? So it’s easier to use azelaic or Tranexamic for the same purpose!
Heyy i am a new subscriber and i agree hyaluronic acid is not needed but i think the derma co niacinamide is such a saviour for me i ve been using it touch wood it is a holyyyy product for me yes hyaluronic acid did a great job but i think i agree i shouldn't purchaseit specifically since it does not do much and retinol part true @MrJovitageorge
4:55 “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” Thats the complete quote. I don't know why, every video I have watched, they all stop this quote mid-way!
Jovi I think it’s you influencers who keep pushing these products like actives , pepetides, etc. few years back there was no social media no paid promotions all you could see was advertisement on tv and if u feel inspired u will buy . But now social media influencer put stuff out like u really need it kind of approach. So somewhere it’s the influencers push these kind of routines to people. The best thing one can do is visit a dermatologist.
Jovi you are the one who encouraged me to add actives in my routine.. and after that my acne started healing slowly..its been years now..but jovi, now its time to add anti aging products bcoz its 30😢.. please guide me..
Hey Jovi, could you give us a review on 82•E products, plus your current hyperpigmentation saviours. PS: loads of love to you from fellow mallu sista ❤Happy bday to baby Niece ❤

I will only things are value for money to me is 1. Cleanser , 2. Moisturizer 3. Sunscreen 4. Chemical exfoliator in moisturizer or ointment form 5. Tretinoin 6. Petroleum 7. Benzoyl peroxide for armpits For hair 1. Shampoo 2. Anti dandruff shampoo 3. Conditioner I don't buy anything more then this list i dont buy anymore even i want to because that's will waste of product and money. I learnt what work and what don't from my dermatologist and also yt dermos too. Dr. Drey and doctorly channels are best. Can you make a video on Panty lines, and menstruation stuffs that are only necessary also dress tapes and some like hide stuffs can just make our daily life better or easy ? Make it if only you use those.
I have started my skincare journey at 24 & now I am 28. This is what i have learned in those 4 years 😂 1. I have combination skin& whenever i tried HA serum from any brand, i always got 1-2 painful pimples 😢😅 so i never bought it again!! 2. Niacinamide suited me very well but now i don't use it alone. I chose products which includes it. 3. Retinol i tried so many products now i don't need it. I am currently focusing on skin hydration. I am using very mild peel solutions (korean mostly), mild peeling/ soothing toners, BHA based products, hydrating serums, included collegen & peptide based serums/ lotions.(if needed i use strong peel once in a week) No alpha arbutin, tranexamic acid, vit c, niacinamide, HA, retinol. Jovi says right we don't need everything in skincare ❤
I have seen many influencer saying that using sunscreen having oxybenzo is carcinogen is it true, and what's the difference between physical sunscreen and chemical sunscreen ,which one is more better, I di you had already made many videos on sunscreen but because summer are back that's why I am asking it to you
using sunscreen with oxybenzone is safe. Tests on humans using oxybenzone in sunscreen found that they do absorb very little through their skin, but there's no evidence it causes hormonal changes or harm. If you're still concerned, there are sunscreens without oxybenzone, but they may not be as good at blocking ultraviolet rays.
5 more product that we do not need Gua sha ( do not need a tool to move our lymphatic fluid. It can be done with hands too. No they do not have any role in making ur skin firm. 2) Sheet mask ( they r basically waste of money n r burden to ur environment. The serums present in them r used by most of the people nowadays ) 3) charcoal mask( no girl, it's not gonna help u in getting rid of blackheads. Go fir salicylic acid serum insted) 4) collagen supplements ( seriously!!?) 5) biotin gummies for hair n nails ( biotin is already there in the amount it should be in our body. Taking more biotin is not gonna help instead see a doctor n find the real cause of hair issue. Thank u :)
@@jabinnahermou we do not have so much studies about collagen supplements and biotin and sometimes they damage ourskin barrier, can gives you acne, you can get sudden allergies, hairlose issue, sometimes it can effect on our stomach if we use in a long run without professional consultation. Be careful while taking supplements.
