Alyssa FRatt As far as my own skincare, I use the Lush Kalamazoo cleanser, Breath of Fresh Air toner, and Vanishing Cream moisturizer in the morning times, but I use the Fresh Soy cleanser at night (to remove my makeup and cleanse) and use the Boscia Black Gel moisturizer at night time. Also I can't live without the bite agave lip mask!!!!
Tati, I would love to see your current nightly skin care routine and, if much has changed, your current morning skin care routine. I always look forward to your videos especially the skin care!
This was one of my fav videos from you! I love, love, love skincare routines! Please do a video on your night time skincare routine for your RU-vid family! Thanks babes!
i recently tried origins's checks and balances frothy face wash and fell in love with it! it's really gentle and moisturizing. a little goes a long way too
Tawni Jules Yasss!! I feel like that with so many origins products!! They are a bit pricey but a little really goes a long way and I use them for FOREVER! (:
Your skincare routines and product reviews are my absolute FAVORITE! they do tend to be expensive, which I agree is totally worth it when it comes to having beautiful skin, but it's nice to know which products actually work and are worth the money. Thanks Tati ❤
Tati, I'm sorry but I have to speak up. What you stated about eye creams having smaller molecules is simply not true. I also looked up the ingredient list of the Tata eye cream and the ingredients aren't unique and don't possess a smaller molecular structure. One of their claims is that one of the ingredients can relax muscles to reduce wrinkles - again, not true! This is all marketing hype! I'm a neuroscientist and my husband is a medicinal chemist and I can tell you that there is no research that support any of these claims. In fact there is research that demonstrates poor absorption (if any at all) of some of the listed ingredients. I'm glad you have discovered Paula's Choice. All her products are formulated around peer reviewed research articles.
Oh Tati be careful with exfoliating!! In my esthetics program we have been learning it is not good to exfoliate more than once every few days. You may only want to use the exfoliating side of the cotton round once instead of twice during your routine and do not do it everyday. Over exfoliation is a huge cause of breakouts and over oil production. LOVED your product choices, I'm going to have to try some of these out, especially the cleansing device, as much as I loved my Clarissonic, It always kinda grossed me out using it with the same brush head all the time. xoxox Great video
Will Cook True! Also, using physical exfoliators with fruit pits, nutshells, crystals, sugar, salt or microbeads on the face can be quite damaging; especially for those over 40. It is believed that the irritation caused by harsh physical exfoliants cause an inflammatory reaction that can speed up the aging process. Chemical exfoliators work better and are more safe, especially for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin. I've done tons of research because I want to keep my over 35 yr old face wrinkle-free as long as possible and so far, it's working.
Tati I am LOVING this no fucks given, bare all attitude you have! No one is perfect but you can really tell you're being authentic which not only makes for great viewing but is also is just great to see in general! Keep doing you girl - your attitude is contagious!
Lovely routine! Yes, we'd also like to see your evening routine! Also, what an excellent reminder about the importance of clean towels to eliminate the spread of bacteria!! I don't think some people realize...
Yes!!! Whatever you do to your face and décolleté, do to the backs of hands. I wish I would have known this in my 20's & 30's. The face may look young, but the hands are a tell-tale sign of age!
I would love to see your night time skincare routine! And any other skincare videos from you. I love hearing what products you use because your skin is so beautiful :)
Your skin is sooo beautiful!!! And yes id love to see your night routine!!☺️ oh and tati you wont need this your skin is flawless but for anyone who has acne scares, put a thick layer of aloe on and let it dry and have it on for as long as u can id say 1 hr at minimum wash it off, and it works wonders!! Im doing it right now:3
+Harpreet Kaur happy to help doll!:) and um im not positive because u could have serious acne scares making it take longer but i saw a difference in about a month and i would only do it 1 or 2 times a week, u could do it more it just bugs my eyes a little, and you will also have pimples come to the surface like I just took off the aloe and i have 6 white heads AND DONT POP THEM STAY STRONG HAHAHAH!!
Try the rest of Paula's Choice Resist line. I've recently switched and my face (age 40) is looking younger and smoother everyday. I can't say enough good things about that company!
I also bought those lip suction enhancer things lol. It absolutely worked like a dream for me. Lip injections can bruise your lips also and I think the suction device (when used properly) is a little bit safer than injecting fillers into your body and it's not as permanent. That was just my experience with it!
***** :( I was thinking to get the lip enchanter, but does it gonna pull the skin and eventually makes the skin around the mouth and lips have early wrinkles or sags over time?
Wendy Naomi I have been curious about that as well! This isn't a product I really use anymore. I just tried it for a period of time because I was curious about it lol. I have heard claims that it is supposed to strengthen the muscles around your mouth and then the plumping effect will last longer. Check out liptifuls. They talk about the mouth muscle situation.
I guess that pouting the lips will makes the muscles moves, it is true that people don't really move/exercise the muscles around the mouth often, unless by smiling, talking and eating, but again, there might be slight tugging/pulling on the skin around the lips. I guess whats best is always been hearing from reviews
the difference there is, that injections are preformed by a professional. not a suction cup. and can you imagine the wrinkles that thing gives pulling on your skin and stuff? Shew :(
I've just gotten into skin care and I started at lush and I've been loving the "let the good times roll" face and body cleanser! it is now a holy grail product!
I heard when you apply products (moisturizer, serums, etc.), you have to pat it on your face instead of spreading it on your face bc it causes clogging of pores and premature wrinkles. And patting apparently allows the product to get absorbed faster. Is that true?
I just stumbled upon Paula's Choice a while back ago and I love her products and the Beautypedia site where you can see her reviews on dollar to high end products. I refer to it a lot when buying skincare. But what I have been so ever curious about is the Nude Matte Palette Wayne Goss and her created. I hope someday you can review it. Please 😊
Yeah now I don't feel bad about also doing all those steps in the morning. Was questioning myself and now you proved me right! Would love to see the night time routine
Hey Tati (doubt you'll see this) I was at forever 21! I saw those pony tails that you said you LOVED the ones that were plastic and crunchy I got 2 packs of 5 they were $1.90 each too 😊
Tati you are absolutely a total sweetheart! I love watching your videos. You are so honest and I love how you involve drugstore and high end products. I don't mind spending money on face products because good skin beats makeup any day. Any who, I'd love to see your nighttime routine, especially because right now my everyday nighttime products are almost done and I've been researching so many products and I'm just so overwhelmed with what to buy. Hopefully you have one soon!!! Thank you for all your advice and videos.
I'd love to see a nighttime skincare routine!!! It would also be interesting to see something about what you used to do or bad habits that you've broken skincare wise, I know I've recently realized I was doing a lot of things wrong.
I LOVE the lip scrubs from Fortune Cookie Soap, because they are edible (they have minty ones and sweet ones). So you scrub and then lick it off which is great for someone like me who hates to have to wipe off that scrubby stuff. Just wanted to recommend that!
They also have some at lush. They have bubblegum, mint juleps, and popcorn. I haven't tried popcorn but I have tried the other ones and I love them! And they are edible
Zarlasht Qadir Khan Dead skin cells are in the air. We breath them in, so it's kind of hard to avoid, but...yeah...I don't think I could eat my lip scrub. To each their own.
+Zarlasht Qadir Khan think about how much dead skin you are consuming on a daily basis without using a lip scrub so how bad could it be to just take in a little more than usual?
Walgreens Studio 35 Alpha Hydroxy face cream is great and inexpensive. I am a skin care junkie myself and love this drug store find!! Have never tried Paula's choice before and will be checking that out. Please do a nighttime routine! Thanks :)
95klopez It may be that you're sensitive to the glycolic acid it contains. Use it at night, applying your usual moisturizer immediately thereafter. Start by using it every 3rd night, and gradually increase use as your skin becomes accustomed to it, until you're using it every night. I've been using this product for a couple of years with excellent results. Best of luck!
95klopez I agree with Kaycee K, if your sensitive to it, use it every other day or so and follow with a moisturizer. I use CeraVe p.m. (drug store) very gentle and effective (and inexpensive). If you use any kind of retinol or retin I would use it on the opposite night just so you don't over do it. Good luck :)
Loved this vid. Tati you are honestly so dedicated to creating great, quality content and never lack, ever. I just wanted to thank you. I love all of your videos and you are simply amazing. I love you and thank you
I am an Esthetician and I can tell you that too much exfoliating is not good for your skin, three times a week is the proper amount of days per week you need to exfoliate. Too much exfoliating can cause your skin to become red and irritated, you can even break some capillaries especially on your cheeks.
I highly recommend checking out the reviews on Beautypedia. A lot of the products listed are really not that great despite their high price tag. Paula's Choice products are amazing for the price and formulated based on actual scientific research, rather than ingredients that are trendy at the moment. :)
thank you tati! i am in my 30's also so i really love when you talk about skincare. my skin has completely changed in the last year or so and i am still adapting and searching for those holy grail products. ohh the perils of getting older ;). yes, i would really enjoy a night time skin routine. thank you again!
Tati's skincare routine: "it's a really nice cleansing device!" ($200) My skincare routine: "okay everybody my hands are my cleansing device,it is a very nice cleansing device, and it costs no money, it does me wonders..."
I'm never sure about Paula's Choice because I always go on their website to look at her reviews of skincare products but the website seems to always slate any products I search for, even if people have been recommending them. For instance I just searched for the Shiseido IBUKI Gentle Cleanser which you love and they've given it one star and have said that its bad for your skin!! So I'm always put off buying her own line of products as I feel like maybe she slates other skincare products just to get people to buy her line? I don't know what to think and whether to bite the bullet and purchase one of her own products to see if it's worth it?
Cherrelle Boyce I kind of felt like this too because she doesn't give high or good ratings to things I like, but if it works for YOU and you like it that's what matters. She looks at it from a scientific perspective and gives low ratings to a lot of products with fragrances, etc. because I guess that's not the best for skin. Also, reddit and so many people on youtube LOVE Paula's Choice, I want to try her stuff so I'm going to order samples.
That's very true, everyone's skin is different. It does worry me though when I read about something I use and she slates it for the chemicals in it. Yes I think I'm going to give her a go too, I might order one of her skin care sets.
Yeah I noticed that with the search engine but I haven't used much of it. Oooh I was actually thinking about the CeraVe cleanser as Essie Button recommended it in a video so I looked into it. Do you use it just as a face wash cleanser or will it remove eye makeup too?
Ok that's good, I wasn't sure whether it could be used on the eyes or not. I was thinking about purchasing the Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing oil but the CeraVe one is half the price of that so I might go for that if it will take make up off. I haven't tried Bioderma but I've used the Garnier one and that was very gentle and a lot cheaper :)
I'm so glad you make this kind of videos, help me a lot with my choices and also your viewers gave so much information about the products. curious about Paula's choice line now
+BARE I think there's a difference in softness and gentlenesss; so what I do is use the Shiseido (always purchased when Sephora has discounts + via cashback sites, etc.) for around my eyes and Daiso's version everywhere else. :)
Paula's Choice products completely changed my skin :) i haven't had any breakouts since switching 2 years ago and my skin glows now! Try the whole line because the products work together so well. So glad to see others using paulas choice too :)
Sabrina Ayrton Oh I've been there before too. My skin started breaking out like crazy 2 years ago with cystic acne on my cheeks especially and it got to the point where I was just sick and tired of everything. I looked up so many ways to stop the breakout and one thing that they suggested was to take a break from my skincare routine and cleansing for like 2 weeks or so and see how it goes. I waited 3-4 weeks without using any of my skincare, only washed it once every 2-3 days to get it back to normal and oh my dear lord, the acne started dying down like a miracle. What I've learned is, don't be rough with it, don't over cleanse it, don't use too much products on your skin, and be sure not to touch your face at all times. After following those rules, my skin looks really good. Of course nothing can be done about the scars left on my face but after exfoliating here and there and using whitening creams (I know, don't judge. I like using Asian whitening products) and so far I can see it going away little by little.
Sabrina Ayrton I've had acne problems for about 12 years now, I've tried skincare products, pills, injections even, and nothing worked, but for about 2 months now I've been using grape seed oil every night and I can see an improvement. It's not much, I think it would be more effective if I didn't have to wear make-up almost every day (I work in a beauty store), but at least I cut off on MAC Studio Fix Fluid which broke me out horribly on my neck, and I've never had acne on my neck before wtf (btw I love MAC don't get me wrong, just not this foundation).
Thank you for the responses everyone! For the past four or so months I've been trying out Proactiv Plus and it worked SO WELL in the beginning but recently it just hasn't been as magical. Granted, I spent the summer moving and stressed out waiting for school. Luckily I'm just fortunate my acne has never been really bad, usually just a blemish or two, but it's been CONSTANT UGH
Sabrina Ayrton This was me most of my life. Proactive worked for me when i was 19-28. Then it just stopped working. :( For a few months (since April) I've been using Goldfaden MD Doctors Scrub and it has completely changed my life! The first 3 weeks I had purging, however, so be aware! BUT, keep at it (using a small amount at night.. you can also mix it with a more gentle facial cleanser at first until your skin can tolerate the exfoliation) don't stop using it or else you'll break out all over. :-) In the AM I wash my face with tap water and use a cleanser that's moisturizing - Caudalie has a good one with Camomile, but you can use a drugstore one if you want.
+Rachael Delaney Haha you guys have no idea what Australia is like. Elf products that are $3 in the US are $8 here and 'drugstore' makeup is like $16-$35 😭 So expensive. Literally everything! I cry.
Rachael Delaney Yeah it does :( Eventually I have to buy some products for myself so I buy it anyway but when a sale comes around i stock up a bit more! Is shopping in the UK pricey? I don't know how it would be for me because the pound is about twice the AUD (Aussie dollar).
i adore paula's choice products.spf, serums, bha and aha, I use them all. they just changed my skin in a way no other products did. 90% of my skincare is from paula's choice. i change just the cleanser, micellar water and the gel foam cleanser. live your videos a lot!!!
Lol no need to get defensive ladies.. I was just sharing my opinion. I never said I didn't think she was beautiful or anything, nor did I say they had to be misleading or fake haha. I just think they're always super awkward looking.. As someone who is "verified" on RU-vid, she has the opportunity to choose and literally TAKE her own thumbnails... why would you not take advantage of that?
my fave skincare product is the lush breath of fresh air toner water. it's very soothing on my skin and I've been using it for around 2 years and I haven't broken out since I started using it. it's amazing!
Greetings from the UK. Tati, please don't take this the wrong way but, I've been subbed to you for probably over 2 years and not once have I ever gotten a reply from you. I adore your videos, (OBVIOUSLY OR i WOULDN'T BE HERE) A simple hello would be good. I'm subbed to about 26 YT'ers who I frequently get replies from. You ask your subs to ask questions and such but you don't reply. It could be a simple case of you're social media accounts are where you communicate on a more personal level? For me personally, I can't stand snapchat or any other social media...I can totally relate to your skin care routines as mine is also a test of endurance. I think it is important to change things up every 30-60 days as our skin adapts to products and become less effective. (In my opinion) xoxo
You always sound so calm and relaxed in your videos lol. I loved your skincare routine, and mine is very similar. I don't think you use too many products at all 😊 everything was definitely essential!
Do you think you could do a video about the kind of makeup you would do for a photo shoot for like senior pictures or like a family picture. Kind of like a get ready with me format?
I LOVE the Aqualia Thermal serum SO MUCH! It is so inexpensive yet works so well! It smells great and feels so refreshing on the skin! Here here, Tati!
I'd love to see a nighttime routine video and/or a favorite masks video! Right now I've been really loving Origins High Potency Night-a-Mins as well as their A Perfect World for Eyes.
I've been a skincare product junkie lately. I think my favorite things are the FAB eye brightener with the metal applicator, and the Ole Henrickson range.
I have good cleansers that are working for my skin type, but I loved seeing your serum and wrinkle reducers that are drugstore options. Totally going to check those out. I would love to see what your night time routine looks like.
I love the Image Skincare Vital C line. I use the serum and moisturizer. I, like you, am a skincare junkie, and every time I try something new that makes my face go nuts, these two products completely bring my skin back to normal every time! Also a big plus, they leave your skin dewy and glowy!
Yes to the PM routine! I love these kinds of videos, just because I'm snoopy and like to see what everyone has in their skincare collection. What do you think of the Lumene line at the drugstore? I tried their brightening serum and one of my friends said I had to be pregnant or something because my face just glowed! I've been faithful to the line ever since.
I love skincare! I'm so glad you are discovering Paula's Choice! Her products are incredible. My favorite is the Weekly Exfoliant with 10% AHA. It completely changed my skin for the better!
I don't know if I would say skin care is my favorite - but my mother taught me early on that taking care of your skin was essential. I take pride in the fact that most people think I'm like 7 years younger than I actually am - and I give all the credit to good skin care. Now - I can't afford to buy a lot of high end or pricey products and sometimes I even use homemade things. And masks - I love a good clay mask. I've been using them since I was in high school! Great video Tati!
