this video is about the process of skinning carbon fiber honeycomb pattern on Yamaha RXZ mudguard. Enjoy!!! Link for Carbon Fiber Kit shopee.com.my/...
Thats cool but whats the point? Why not just vinyl wrap it? It would look exactly the same, be cheaper, and probably weight even less. Now if you made a whole mud guard instead of just covering it up in carbon fiber, then I could see the point.
Sadly most 'real carbon fibre' they claimed out there are made using this method. It is like wrapping a proton saga with vinyl of ferrari logos, and calling the car a ferrari. Cringe
thanks bro for comment. this technique is only used for low budget and only for DIY. not suitable for commercial. yes it will add more weight but in this case most of user just want to be satisfied with the real carbon fiber looks in the cheapest way. hopefully answer your question.
this is what we call a skinning carbon fiber. this technique only for DIY and not for commercial. yes it will add more weight thus the user doesnt really care about the weight. the only thing they want is the carbon fiber finish looks. hopefully that answered btw thanks for watching
Tak faham juga.. sebab dalam video x bagi tahu berapa minit utk setiap section, dan x bagi tahu apa nama cecair yg dia pakai utk setiap step. Video sonyap je 😂 pening gak tgk
Great job but, people, NEVER cut towards yourself. Never. Everyone is a pro until they loose a finger or two. Always cut away from your body and fingers. Not towards them. Good practice like bend your knees and not your back.
Hi There Thank you for the video techniques with carbon fibre I have a questuon Hiw would you approach a conical shape 40cm diameter 30cm height Maybe one sheet to cover it all ar once or in pieces or any other way Much apprieciate your help Best
I want to make it too.. mudguard, swingarm, and some part.i don't know how to use and apply...in this video mudguard and your fibre are separate or not..i mean your fibre can stuck in mudguard Sorry for my English
You need to wait until the first coat is tacky/sticky. So when you touch it you leave a finger print but doesn't go onto your hand. All resins have a different cure time, there are fast and slow hardeners and also room temperature plays a factor. Good way to test is in a room with a stable temperature, prep a scrap piece and apply some of the first coat resin and time it to see when it reaches this stage
Hi. Thanks for your comment. But to list down all procedure seems like a long story my friend. Please feel free to watch my other tutorial that have english translate
😁dua2 belah boleh pakai. Janji kita tahu macam mana nak gosok dan ratakan epoxy. Saya pilih benang belah atas.
Tapi perlu hati2 waktu gosok
this is what we call skinning carbon fiber. this application ONLY just to have a real carbon fiber finish rather than having the real mechanical and properties of carbon fiber itself. btw thanks for watching
