its called a routine, every track has almost the same bpm and is in a dedicated playlist to this mix. So yeah, it is picked out before the camera pressed play. He still is very good at what he is doing
Been subscribed for about a Year bro, Not only on this channel but my other one as well!! You're truly an inspiration of mine!!! Keep up the good work!
I think what they meant was the pitch reset (Pitch reset stays locked at zero no matter where the pitch fader is) - the pitch reset light is on and your adjusting the pitch fader but I see you are setting it up for the next mix then hit the reset button which then turns it off and then goes to the pitch where the fader is set. Now lets see if anyone knows what the dots on the platter are for! HAHAHAHAHA LOL! AWESOME MIXES BILLY KEEP EM COMIN!!!!! PEACE.
when i mix..i sometimes use pitch lock because the bpms don't tend to drift so much (depending how good your turntables are) when I move up on tempo from a slower song to faster song i will start low and move up and then "lock" it..meanwhile, im mixing the next song in at a slower tempo and if i need to ill go higher then its original bpm or just "lock" it doesnt make djing easier
I think what salomon102 is referring to is... When you activate the Pitch Lock button (set to Zero) sometimes throughout your mixes you still move the pitch slider. Since it's "locked" in at Zero, moving the slider doesn't change the speed of the record. I've noticed that in a bunch of your mixes myself and always wondered "Why is he moving the pitch slider when it's locked in at zero?" Regardless, You're dope as f#ck bro. Clean cuts, nice blends. Solid. One.
"Pitch lock" is NOT the same as "sync". Pitch lock locks the pitch, but you still have to adjust the tempo to get the beats to match. ;) Loving the mixes, scratches as well, and nice idea to change the vinyls between the videos. Really smooth cuts, makes me wanna practice more...
Mad respect from the UK! Always tight, always different, not cliche and constantly showcasing skill, flawless mixing and keeping the old school turntablism vibe alive. You are the truth Billy!
oh pick me!!! hahahaha i know this one! dots and the red light are key elements to keeping your tables tuned to the right speed. big dots should be stationary at dead center on the pitch control.
how do you load next track without using p1 or p2 knob it looks like you use the group buttons if so how do you set it up?? shit hot set as usual btw how about doing a long mix tape for us ive got all these on your channel on my ipod but a long one would be great.
hey bro you got a soundcloud account if not you should get your mixes on there its good for promo for you and its good for us, less to stream on the go! win win for everyone! anyways pump those mixes out bro!
It's a very simple. This is the only dj I've seen that masters every function of the 57sl flawlessly. Combine that with true talent and you get one badass dj. Billy18bm! Fuck what ya heard!!!
Yo Billy... I can humbly concur with @Mark Aguiar (although I'm a beginner). Many props to you homeboy, awesome stuff you post and I'm using it as inspiration for my development!
I have been following your sets for a minute. You should be the highest paid DJ in your area or at least on radio station. Do you have a regular gig, where and when?
that vinyl is so dope. where can I pick up a pair? been following you on youtube for a while now, and you got some great talent man. mad respect going out to ya
