Many people don’t realize that most these SoundCloud artist blow up when they young so it’s no surprise if most of em were a stupid ass kid to now a more matured dude who can actually think thru (most of) their doings.
This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen in quite some time. Really goes deep into each subject, everyone is respectful and not talking over everyone like how all the shows have been recently. It’s really interesting to hear about how the SoundCloud rap scene went from people recording in their bedrooms making music to a multi million dollar enterprise. It also makes a lot of sense how all these kids were able to live in LA and travel all around, it seemed like they were independent SoundCloud rappers, but really damn near all of them had major label money behind them. EDIT: it’s kinda like when you already kinda knew Santa was fake, but then you find out 100% proof that’s he’s fake.
This is how you do a proper redemption story/arc. It’s clear this young man was around some sketchy individuals on his first come up but at this point you can tell he’s grown up and learned a lot.
One of the best interviews I've seen on here in a long time, I'm not super connected to this culture but ALL of the headlines I saw a few years ago surrounding this guy were so negative and hearing him here sounding so self-aware and genuine caught me off guard. Much respect to Skinny for keeping it going.

I wasnt into the SoundCloud scene when Skinny was blowing up, i was one of those people still stuck in the past at that time, but i like this dude as a person. Seems loyal, chill, all the things you look for in a good person. I hope he come back strong for round 2. Props to Adam and No Jumper for giving him some shine. 👍👍👍

For the Island Boys to be able to pay $20k in rent plus whatever they pay to rent the cars is very impressive. Even if they aren’t saving anything being able to clear $20+ K a month is big time for a young 21 year old.
