i been playing since this game came out and i still rock default cause im playing the game idc about anything else and people who call people broke are childish like skins doesnt change anything
I look at it more as a tip. you enjoy the game. You play it a lot. Give some money to the devs and get something cool in return. If you can afford it, awesome. If you can't. That's fine You still get to play a high quality game with no consequences.
I really enjoy just listening to you talk about this game. I feel heard with my complainst since i think this game and its community has alot of problems
Also. Who is having trouble grinding the battle pass? I work full time and only get to play maybe 4-5 times a week. Usually no longer than 2-3 hours. Sometimes less. And I've never had any trouble completing the battle pass. Sure the skins aren't usually the coolest. But all the sprays are awesome. If the game was $60 or there was a pay to win element these complaints would all be valid. It's a free incredibly high quality game. As far as the "drip feeding content". They put out a new agent/map or some kind of major content update almost monthly. And they're very careful about it as to not throw off balance of the game. What more do you want? Look I don't generally like to defend corporations and there are plenty of real problems with riot. But they were the first to bring the free to play make money off of cosmetics only to the West. I for one am super thankful. Before, free to play either meant the game was trash and never updated or even worse was pay to win.
Simply because if I paid 60 dollars for a product, I'd like to have that product, not buy a battlepass to grind out to eventually be able to use the product. You know like every other free to play game out there does it
@@menmaro I mean. you do get the product. You can upgrade anytime. Just save up your radianite. Iirc there is radianite even in the free tiers of the battlepass. Personally I think if you're spending $60 on a skin pack and can't afford the time or money to get enough radianite to upgrade the skins you actually use you need to get your priorities straight.
@@menmaro also. Like every other free to play game. Is just not true. Some free to play games have much worse monetization. Ever heard of Diablo immortal? Csgo? Or any game with loot boxes? You literally are paying to have a small chance at getting what you actually want. That's so so much worse. And is a gateway into gambling addiction. I just don't think riot is nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Go try other games. Many are worse.

Yah man idk there’s basically no social pressure in buying skins im 17 and bought the baseball bat knife skin cause i have the money and i think it is cool and unique and i got shit from my friends for wasting money I’m by far the biggest spender in my friend group and I’ve only spend about $80 total… about what I would have paid for the game if it wasn’t free. Also the upgrade are not a problem at all unless u spend like $100+ per chapter the free points are plenty
you forgot to mention how much you have to fucking grind the battle pass to finish it, i played since the closed beta and i bought the first bp when the game officially released and back then there would be just the 2 shitty 2k bp points daily challenges and the bp points you'd get from playing matches. BPs are the only reason i have 300 hours on spike rush and i stopped grinding them two years ago
I think people's obsession over skins is what started this to begin with. Developers can clearly see how down horrendous modern gamers are for pixels on a screen, so they're gonna milk their fanbases as hard as they can. I'm ok with Valorant's as, in return, you get the most polished game with the most premium experience possibly any FPS esport currently brings to the market, which I think a lot of people overlook. If we had a half-baked game with issues left and right, it would be a totally different story.
@@menmaro If you play long enough, you'll hit a point where you never have to worry about it. I've been playing since the Beta and I've accumulated over 1,500 Radianite. Sure I had to buy half of the battlepasses, but $10 every few months is a pretty good deal if you're an active player. It's that or getting scammed with actual Radianite purchases.
Bro i dont even give a fuck about the skins because i know i cannot afford those crap and i could use the money somewhere else.....tbh instead of buying just pick it from the teammates....now riot won't let us pick skins from ground i guess lol
I don’t understand peoples problem with the system. Its way better than lootboxes for sure and you clearly see what you get. Even the community doesnt hate on people who dont have skins, they just celebrate the people who do, which is fine in my opinion. The animation stuff is also really easy to unlock if you dont buy them on mass. So really only the whales get milked here, which the normal players profit from. And its not like games like this dont need funding, there needs to be some insensitive and if thats what is needed im fine with it. Wayyyyy better than stuff like csgo or any gatcha (genshin *caugh*)
Maybe I'm old fashioned and would prefer to have the full product I purchased rather than locking most of the reason for buying it behind another paywall or grind...
@@menmaroyou’re not really. Its just you have to accept some form of scam with ftp, because thats what makes it profitable for long times anyway. This form of game can’t exist without these kind of things. (I personally think Valorant does it the least obstructive but thats personal preference i guess)
Idk why we compare bad with worse? Why not compare to fortnite or apex legends gun skins? It doesnt make sense to defend expensive skins that you cant even use unless you buy a battlepass (or spend a shitton of time grinding the free tiers
