There is a lot going on here under the surface, that I am sure of but there are a few things I can say for sure that stand out to me: 1) Skip's comments were totally unnecessary and had no relevance to the topic at hand. What does Sharpe have to do with Brady or vice versa, just in general? Better in what sense, they play different positions it is apples to oranges. And they can't be critical of players in the present, or they can but not Brady...It just has nothing to do with the topic at hand or anything at all, it was a personal shot at Sharpe no matter how ya look at it, so there is that.... 2) Skip might have lost himself to the "persona" that is Skip and can't turn it off. There is a moment when Sharpe calls him out saying something like "you gonna take a personal shot at me?", and you see Skip pause for a moment with a look that says "oh shit I was kinda fucked up on that one" but if he went hard on the apology on the spot it would look "off-brand" for his style and what was become known for in his TV persona, so he just doubled down on it...... 3) Now my guess would be they do good numbers but not like Skip is a custom to doing so is he trying to hype it up and get eyes....I dunno but he seems more intense in a desperate way as of late.....
