He tweeted prayers for Hamlin before this tweet and ended the tweet saying the final standings and playoffs suddenly seem so irrelevant. I really don't get the outrage here at all. And listen, I'm far from a skip Bayless fan at all.

Skip already acknowledged Hamlin’s health before the controversial tweet. Seems like ppl can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. Plenty of ppl wondered how the schedule was gonna turn out too. It wasn’t like the NFL season was canceled

Think yall missed the point here. The message wasnt the issue, the messenger was the issue. The arguments between skip and shannon on air are very telling. Society didn’t want to hear shit from skip in that moment based on his track record. If Shannon had the same series of tweets we very well may not be having the same reaction.

TBF, Skip said on air that the tweet was him thinking outloud from the mindset of the NFL since they have typically continued games, what they were gonna do since this is an unheard of situation. But everyone hates Skip so much that they looking for any reason to get him fired. I don’t really like Skip but this has been a misunderstanding.

Danar Hamlin almost died! Technically he actually died on the pitch. The medical team that used CPR and the defibrillator restarted his heart. He is alive because of the defibrillator. I am happy that the NFL and the players expressed empathy for a fallen player.
