Being combative and abrasive with hot takes is exactly what made his career. I don't think he regrets it, dude is a millionaire and can retire right now if he wants to. Shannon is obviously the future of sports talk show and podcasts and while he will be great by himself, it's just hard to beat Undisputed with both of them. It was very entertaining and fun to watch.
He'll be doing it somewhere. He's addicted to Twitter at least. There's no way we won't be seeing a few tantrums where he pretends to throw away his jerseys in the future.
Thats crazy that he didnt address his audience at the end of the show. Says alot about how he sees himself and how less he thinks of the viewers he had left. Humility goes a long way.

As much as I dislike Skip as a personality, I respect him as a person for what he’s been able to accomplish. His entire career (lasting over 50 YEARS) has been based on being the heel. He thrived in it and completely, for better or worse, changed the entire landscape of sports commentary whether people think he did or not. Nevermind the fact he has a very long history of hiring and boosting black commentators without ever talking about it as a thing. That's a rare thing in these days of clout-chasing social justice.
Plus he elevated many people in his business like SAS and Shannon. I don’t hate the guy despite some of his takes being ridiculous. Also props to him for his age being in fantastic shape. That’s a lot of dedication and discipline.
Tell him that😂😂😂 He’s convinced he’s a respected journalist and that his cache is what made Stephen A and Shannon when it’s really the fact of how they expertly handled his heel character and constant ridiculously bias attacks on LeBron James

the problem was once shannon left, skip changed his persona. he was not constantly interrupting and adding his 2 cents each time. he seemed more laid back and not as charismatic. it wasnt the skip that we've seen in the past. he wasnt hootin and hollerin while attacking his counterparts arguments. shannon wasnt the shannon of today til after years of debating skip and all his antics. skip will be fine. he can do podcasts and be himself. even tho im hardly ever on the side of skip when it comes to his debate points, he is a very entertaining person to watch.

I loved Undisputed with Skip and Shannon. Shannon was perfect with Skip and Skip was perfect with Shannon. They belonged together, and it sucked to see it die

Skip annoys the hell out of me but there is no denying what he’s done and his place in the sports world. I sincerely hope he doesn’t retire and I hope he doesn’t try to compete in the podcast world, bc that won’t last. I would like to see him on a weekly spot on ESPN with Shannon and SAS, if they’d have him…and if Skip could humble himself. But my guess is, he’ll get all fired up for some weird thing that no one cares about and he’ll go out sad in a year or 2 lol
I've never had a problem with Skip's takes, opinions, persona, etc. What I have had a problem with is his disrespect and Holier than thou approach to his peers and cohorts.
I have just one question for Skip: Did he quit just as those he lambasted in the past who quit on teams? Or was he fired like he wanted to happen to those he felt underachieved? Fired or quit? Either way pack your blank and get the blank out.
I remember seeing Strahan turn up on that morning show and being very surprised. Interesting to see the behind the scenes of how something like that happens. RU-vid and social media really opened things up in that sense. Would be interesting to see old WWE disputes with social media. Now it's tailored to that stuff but those older personalities with this platform would have been hilarious
@@davidbailey9073skip was a great heel… love him or hate him… he was supposed to be the villain. His podcast and treatment of Shay exposed him. He made 2 major mistakes and lost his job because of it… he showed how unlikeable he is. He doesn’t draw the numbers with out entertaining opposition
And honestly, first take, do you hoenstly like any of them? Shannon comes on, but it's still not even watchable with him. Night cap is much better, but to be honest, last time I tuned into that was I think t he NFC championship game. Other than that, Ocho really never provides anything that's worth listening to hahaha
The lesson here is you had a good run, retire on top. Trying to reinvent the wheel again is hard. He alienated himself from so many people. He now is a peria that is despised by everyone. If he left on top he would be a great guest and enjoying life.
Bayless' miserable miscalculation that his viewers wanted to hear him shamelessly drool and drip over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcy by making the couple an actual daily topic of discussion on the show completely turned me off. YUCK!!!

Generational shift. Skip couldn't make the turn. He started a lot of careers, particularly for African American men. Will always appreciate him for that.

I feel like they got rid of Shannon because he actually believes his takes. From a promotion side,they wanted skip to be controversial, and I felt like skip would agree to any controversial debate the company asked him for. It obviously worked for a long time but once Shannon was gone the show was just nothing special, there was no interesting back and forth. I watched undisputed almost ever day, and I honestly gave them a fair chance after Shannon left, but it just became an unwatchable program without Shannon.
All this just showed skip and Shannon were never truely friends. Because nothing skip had said would call for me cutting off a friend. Maybe that’s just me I’m not a ❄️
People can say what they want because this is America but I myself enjoyed watching Skip. I’ve been watching Skip since 2010-2011. I didn’t always agree with his takes but I appreciated his passion. Thank you Skip!!

They 100% let him go. They probably got tired of him pushing his weight around. Skip probably felt untouchable on Fox. He felt like he could do anything and ask for anything because he thought they needed him. Skip would get people into the show, and as soon as they said something that made him look bad. He would ask Fox to get rid of them. But if they kept doing so it would cost Fox a lot of money to have to keep terminating their contracts.
