The Dallas Cowboys missed on some late opportunities to tie up the game against the Los Angeles Rams last night. Trailing 20-to-17 with over 11 minutes left, Dallas failed on a 4th-and-3 attempt from the 11 instead of electing to kick a field goal. The Cowboys almost brought it close enough for a game-tying field goal attempt with less than a minute left but, a 47-yard completion to Michael Gallup was called back due to offensive pass interference. Mike McCarthy said he was surprised there was a call either way after the game. The official stood by the call, calling it 'clear and obvious on the field.' I was a kicked all the way to my 1st year of college and the way it works is: - 20-40 yards you should be making over 90% of the time. - 40-50 you are expected to make at least 70% of the time. - 50+ you may make that 60% of the time and the very best guys can probably convert it at 66%. So yeah once you get past the 40-yard distance, percentage drops off huge. At 50 yards, nobody is gonna blame you for missing unless you miss them more than half the time.

Multiple times coaches went for it on fourth down instead of punting or kicking field goals, ended up regretting it, cost them the game ( Falcons, Cowboys,Chargers and the Panthers) and if you’re going for it on fourth down put the ball in the hands of your best player’s hands

@@Princebabayaga thats their excuse every year. Straight up, there in no team in the NFL worse at putting opponents away than the Eagles. They go up a bunch, let their foot off the gas and lose, they've been doing it the last 2 seasons. Over the last 2 season Eagles have lost at least 7 games they choked away.
