Growing up in the 70's, we had one white family in our neighborhood. The girl, and I became besties! She would call my house and ask my mom, "Can my sister go with me to see a basketball game?" That was my first experience seeing a live basketball game, and she taught me how to play the piano in elementary. Good times! That was 46 years ago, and we're still friends to this very day.

After she retired and those kids got older they would send her money in the mail periodically all the way up to when she passed back in 2002. Yeah, he’s talked about this before, aside from the psychic. I’m afraid Skip and Ernestine were conned. A simple google search will bring up when he talked with Shannon about Katie Bell back in June of 2020, and he talked about her in an interview in 2013, before that. I first heard Skip talk about this even before that, but it wasn’t many times, snd I don’t remember if he named her. Point is, the psychic/medium manipulated Ernestine, because they had the information about Skip, and used it after she trusted them. Now they have a hook in Skip. Hopefully he’ll realize this, and the psychic won’t be able to use his memories of such a wonderful person to manipulate him.

This is YOUR story Skip - don't hold back trying to speak it, especially with such a powerful woman as a role model. There will be people who want to twist this, but they are the ones always seeking to twist. For the rest of us we honor your love towards "Katie Bell" and the influence she had on your life. We should all be lucky to have a person like Katie Bell in our lives, no matter what race. That type of commitment, love, respect, and genuine caring is what we all need. I, too was raised in a family that saw no color. My Dad was from the back hills of West Virginia in coal mining county where he said everyone is on equal footing and poor had no color barriers. I could go anywhere as a child or adult and feel right at home, and felt being raised that way was a blessing. I am sure Katie Bell is watching over you, and no doubt listing to you honoring her life. Stay blessed!!

This happens in some African countries too. Where nannies took care of white children like their own, pretty much have a strong bond with caregivers than their parents. Some parents were busy at work or not emotionally invested in parenting. So such duties were passed to the nanny. A lot of grown-up white people have that bond with their caregivers. Wish we could hear these testimonies more often.

@@reckon7457 everyone gives them excuses every single day, he’s the only one that calls them out. I do think he takes it too far at times, but regardless it is a contrast, and the only one at that.

Wow, tremendous story. Skip is very entertaining, this really made me gain a whole new level of respect for him. It's always powerful when different races can come together, and simply see the humanity within each other. These story will touch the heart and soul of each who hear them, because the essence of who were are is love.

True. I couldn’t stand him because he talks a lot smack about Lebron but I have a whole new perspective of him now.
