Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys were sent home by Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers after a 23-17 loss. The shocking loss came with an even more shocking ending as Dallas couldn’t clock the ball in time following a QB draw with 14 seconds left in the middle of the field. After the game, Mike McCarthy said quote: 'I've never seen that come down the way it came down. We were trying to get to the 30-yard line to set up the last play...' Dak followed up saying quote: 'The fans felt the same way as us..I guess it's why the refs took off and got out of there so fast. Everybody is upset with the way this played out.' QBs paid a ridiculous amount of money is the problem, while very good football players are are off on other careers because dumb NFL teams can't afford to pay them properly! A mediocre QB at best, which is what Dak is. Is actually getting 25% of the annual salary cap and ignorant people wonder why a 40+ year old is always in the hunt for a super bowl? Pretty simple he's never been payed outrageous money and he always is on one of the stacked for talent teams!

@@ronniecronniec2615 Dak is usually great against terrible teams. Dak is usually terrible against good teams. But when you add those stats together you say, "well he's pretty good." But really, he's not. The Cowboys played a last place schedule. If they played a 1st schedule, they probably don't even make the playoffs. Like you pointed out against better teams they were 1-5. If the East didn't suck the Cowboys go 3-3 and are 9-8. And not even close to the playoffs. But give them credit you can only play who you are scheduled to play. They have Stats stuffing Dak. His stats will look good while they lose games that matter.

I am a Cowboys fan and I have to admit, Shannon was right about us this whole season. We were outcoached, outplayed and outsmarted. Lack of discipline is our biggest problem, which starts with our coach. Not to mention, our overrated offensive line. I'm still a fan for life, but we earned this loss with penalties and no blocking.

@@erikdayne5429 they only had like 20 less yards in penalties than Dallas did and we were penalized in crucial moments also. I think we won because of our D line, even AFTER Bosa went out. 5 sacks and 14 hits, Dak didn’t have a chance to get in any sort of rhythm.

This team is always full of excuses. How about the coaches and players take more accountability. You're at home and get shut out in the first quarter? This Offense has issues. The Defense has less but still gave Dak and Co. an opportunity. 14 penalties and you talk about the Refs? Give me a break. You played 3 quarters. The Niners played all 4. Even if we pull out the miracle no way we go to Tampa and beat the Goat. I'll always keep my hopes up for My Cowboys, but we need to fix A LOT this off-season. Terrible execution, terrible preparation and terrible excuses. All the players and coaches, enjoy watching the rest of the playoffs from your couch and while you do that take note of the staff and players on TV on how a team with Heart and Grit and professionalism compose themselves.

As a Cowboys fan, I saw this coming as soon as we hired Mike McCarthy but this still hurts. We haven't had a real coach since Jimmy and since Jimmy left it's been a constant struggle with discipline and play calling even though we have the athletes to compete and win big but that won't happen with our GM/Owner/Head Coach/Cheerleader/Everybody's frenemy Jerry Jones.

Skip is wrong. Dak started to slide at the 26 yard line. He gave the ball to the center to snap at the 23, the ref brought it back to the 24. The ref had every obligation to grab the ball and bring it back to the 26. Skip should be happy because the Ref gave the cowboys 2 extra yards they didn’t earn. The center doesn’t get to pick where the ball gets spotted, the Referee does. BTW this episode would have been 100x better in studio.

Same here. Am a Cowboy fan almost as long as Skip and I KNEW ALL season long that it would end like this. Been burned too often by the Cowboys and Jerry Jones! As soon as I saw 49rs and Cowboys opening drives, I said immediately it is the Broncos Cowboys that have showed up to play today !! And Shannon and Skip are the BEST ! I almost look forward to hearing their reactions more than watching the games themselves!!!! They are fantastic team!!! I could not stop laughing when Shannon said when he went to sleep that he prayed that the Lord would let him open his eyes today so he could go in and give it to Skip !!!! :)

Jason Garrett ruined Dak Prescott. Dak used to be a dynamic player not afraid to use his legs if he needed to. Garrett got in his head so bad that Prescott almost doesn't know what to do if he's forced out of pocket.

actually it was a great play, however, a few things werent executed properly, dak couldve slid sooner rather than getting closer. It was a great call with 3 linemen and everyone covering the sidelines etc, but they wasted too much time trying to get the ball spiked. Whether it was the refs or, dak etc. Its a good play just not enough time. Go Niners!

Skip did very good accepting this defeat. Issues I had with what he said... 1. Nobody should like that QB draw. That was a horrible play call. Middle of the field was open for a damn reason. 2. To blame the ref is ridiculous. Cowboys are professionals and should have known to account for the refs extra time necessary.

The biggest blunder of it all, aside from the play call itself, was Dak should have handed the damn ball straight to the official. They are professional football players and should know the rules. On what earth do the officials allow the players to place the ball where they think the line of scrimmage should be? If they hand the ball to the official and get out of his way, they would have had time for one more play. Skip is the worst person in the history of sports television. How does he get air time?

Buuuuuut…..Cowboys showed up right on time, and they didn’t disappoint. Sure the defense has gotten way better, but the offense wasn’t complimenting of the defense. Recipe for one and done. I’m just glad I wasn’t that cowboys fan that says “This is our year”…every year. I just sit back and take in the games one at a time because it’s too common to get disappointed every year.
