Some s**t just remains classic despite time going past. amazing tune...reminds me on my hedonistic days in the balearic islands. And 7 dislikes????????????????? wist the **** up
I love how this is officially called the Perfecto Trance remix, yet its the other perfect remix that used to get played back in the day at trance events 😁
Amazing how many people think Tiesto did this first, for me Ferry Corsten was the pioneer of "Euphoric" Trance, he combined with Tiesto, Armin, Vincent De Moor etc, very well and remixed tons, Tiesto was good at Djing, his sets were great, his In search of sunrise and Magik series are top notch, but I can't help but think to create Sparkles if Tiesto didn't have the Dj knowledge and combining with Ferry, Armin, VDM etc., would his sound have been as "Euphoric"? His singles only started to get better from Gouryella, Sparkles Silence Rmx, Flight 643, Lethal Industry, Traffic etc., much later on. I credit more of the uplifting trance "sound" from Ferry, Vincent De Moor, Armin, then the likes of Tiesto, Dj Mark oh from Germany was very early, Sven Vath was probably the most earlier known of slightly uplifting, but the sound wasn't quite there yet, singles like Age of Love a lot earlier, to Robert Miles Children all had their time and place during the early to mid 90s but still never hit those "Euphoric" heights until ferry and co., later on. Tiesto got a bit lucky, he hit the heights at just the right time for Djs and became no.1 which was about right, Ferry was gd as was Armin and a few others, but tbh Tiestos version of Barbers Adagio for Strings was 2005, the scene had changed...a lot! Ferrys remix 1999 and Skip raiders 1999, so yeah Ferrys style was great and early, especially if you listen to Tiesto pre Ferry link up for Gouryella, he was mostly acid house coming from Hardcore Gabber 1994+, similar as Ferry and most around the mid 90s, before starting Black Hole around '97 ish, starting to create some of the sounds coming into the future, but Armins Blue Fear 1997 and VDMs Flowtation 1997 were ahead of the curve, especially Ferrys Don't be afraid in 1996. Like I said though Tiestos Sparkles was a good early song, but not until 1998 - 2000 with Ferry he honed that magical trance sound and Gouryella was massive, then Tiestos remix of Deleriums Silence in 2000, brought him more to the mainstream. Tbh most of these guys when teaming up with Ferry they ended up with a big hit, Veracocha- Carte Blanche(Ferry/VDM) Gouryella-Gouryella(Ferry/Tiesto) System F feat Armin- Exhale, even though Armin was on the ball with the sound just as quick mid/late 90s. I credit these 4 as the pioneers of the "Euphoric" sound that was fantastic between 96-02, especially 99-01. But for me Ferry just had that extra little something as a producer, he remixed stuff so well, tbh they all fed off each other and helped create an amazing sound the most tried to emulate or create something similar. I was always a fan of Airwaves stuff(Alone in the Dark, Innerspace, musings of a lifetime and so on) as well as remixes from Lange, Signum, Airscape(Svenson and Gielen) and Matt Darey around that time as well, and Matt Darey as well is another Major player that influenced that era, especially in the UK as Lost Tribe then Himself, tbh there are a lot from across Europe, Mauro Picotto bringing harder elements and top Bangers and he was early 90s as well as RAF, Marco V, Cosmic Gate, Dumonde all bringing harder trance, the states as well, the detroit techno scene was banging from what I've heard over the years. Yeah, there are lots of great Djs and producers from the 90s early 2000s, but for me when those 4 (Ferry/Armin/VDM/Tiesto) got together it was a Magical end to a great decade! ✌🏽
Charlotte Pretty this isn't the version that on Kevin and perry, just the perfecto remix is not the "perfecto trance remix" it's sounds so darker than this. So much better
i know. but lets put it this way Adagio For Strings is one of the best riffs in trance history and this is an awesome song so lets just enjoy this monster!
I know which version ya mean there... Ferry Corsten's Remix of William Orbits adagio for strings. Lots of people made the mistake of searching for william orbits version, and finding his electro classical version. Ferry's version shits over Tiesto' by miles I reckon...but this is still a cool song :D
omg!!! This takes me bac to Phx, Az bout 98 or 99 before raving was justa faze but was a culture. dope song but heard better versions, still dope though
@TheVochta Myslím, že to je úplně první taneční verze Adagio for strings. Tohle se hrálo jěště před Williamem Orbitem nebo Ferry Corstenem a stráášně dlouho před Tiestem. :D
luis cerda sit down son, time for a lesson. William barber did the original which ferry corsten did the famous remix off. Skip raiders did a remix of that and put vocals on it (another day) Then perfecto remixed the skip raiders version which made this. Then tiesto made his years later. You're welcome
