Something no one give Alabama credit for this year??? Alabama has a very talented, very experienced secondary. Derek Mason said Bama has a better defense than Georgia, most notably pointing to the secondary. Occasionally, in the past, the secondary would get burned...all of these games that Skip is referencing. Jalen also helps the defense practice against the duel threat. They are much better equipped than when Johnny Football caught Alabama by surprise...way back in 2012! Alabama beats Georgia in similar fashion to beating LSU every year, sumn like 24-10.

He, and so many national media pundits have been stating unequivocally that Alabama did NOT belong in the playoffs -- That Alabama wasn't "Typical Alabama" good this year.. Bama's defense wasn't anywhere close to what we're used to (despite the injured players getting healthy in the off time) -- And ultimately - that Alabama had no chance and Clemson was going to win this game.. some said handily. That Clemson's Dline was going to shut down Alabama's offense something fierce and Alabama's defense as aforementioned couldn't get it done to win. Then Alabama comes out and plays like the Alabama we all know -- ferocious on defense -- Shuts Clemson down to 24-6 ballgame. When that happens.. as I said -- You have to acknowledge you were WRONG in your assumptions. There is no continuing to defend your previous argument.. as it was shattered with the unquestionable defeat of Clemson. Alabama proved it belonged and is now a true favorite in the Championship -- a 180 shift. Alabama plays NASTY coming off a loss and in the under dog role -- I wish Bama still had that type of narrative going into Georgia.. but hopefully a "National Championship" will be plenty to keep them hungry. Alabama DOES have two issues. A starting O-lineman is injured and one of the top defensive LINE BACKERS got injured -- Both are expected to be OUT for National Championship game.. this won't shut down Alabama like the onslaught of previous injuries but it could have a significant "Noticeable" impact on the field. It remains to be seen.. but jesus h christ.. the 9th Line Backer injured -- just insanity this year.

Coach Saban is 11-0. Against former assistants who worked for him. Georgia's only chance is there running game with Sony & Nick. Only them, no Swift. Experience will play a big part, against a rested Bama Defense. If they see a crease they better turn the football game into a track meet. That's there only chance.
