After losing to the Warriors at home on opening night, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have a lot to prove in their game tonight against the Phoenix Suns, who became the only team in NBA history to knock the King out of the first round in the playoffs. The purple-and-gold will follow that with another home game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe predict the Lakers' record after their weekend matchups.

“When Russ is Russ, nobody else is anybody else” - Shannon Russ was Russ in OKC with KD and KD win multiple scoring titles. Russ was Russ with PG and PG had his greatest season ever…was a legit MVP candidate before his injuries. Russ was Russ in Houston and Harden still averaged 34. Russ was Russ in Washington and Beal had a career high in 31PPG and almost led the league in scoring. Shannon doesn’t know enough about basketball to properly debate Skip. Love there chemistry but these segments are truly nerve wrecking for anybody that actually knows basketball.

It’s the opposite actually. In the half court Lebron is a better playmaker than Russ and it’s not even close, Russ will have the ball and should be the main ball handler when in transition and when Lebron is off the court. Lebron will play off Russ at times as well moving off ball for threes and cutting to the rim just like he did in his Miami Heat days

I always jump to skips segment. Shay is not very prepared ever, he just gets up there and yells. Skip has a more coherent and compelling argument every time

@@datsapaddlin When you have multiple all stars on your team, it creates issues with ball possession. The Warriors managed to play unselfish ball, some nights it was Steph, some nights it was Klay and few nights it was KD.

@@millabasset1710 Well the Warriors are the best shooting team ever. You can’t compare them to every other team. Klay had 60 without having to dribble the ball. Obviously the Lakers can’t do that because Westbrook Lebron and AD ain’t the shooters KD Steph and Klay are. They ain’t gonna be Warriors good but they can be a tough team still. No one thinks they are gonna flow like the Warriors.
