We caught our first glimpse of this year’s Dallas Cowboys squad in last night’s first episode of Hard Knocks. As expected, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were front and center and we saw their genuine friendship. We also got to see Dak’s return to the practice field and his reaction to receiving fewer reps. Plus, plenty of behind-the-scenes of Jerry Jones, Mike McCarthy and reactions to rookie Micah Parsons. They always cut out juicy stuff. I think they cut out Shannon's phone call on the podcast or on one video, or basically didn't post that segment. But so many times i have read articles about something happening or watched part of the show, then gone back on a podcast or youtube section and it isn't there. And that usually is the whole reason i am trying to revisit it.

There was a segment in which Skip mocked Mike McCarthy's weight, and Jenny had an issue with that. And she let Skip know about it at the end of a segment. Skip was wrong. What is with these guys who believe they can say what they want about who they want? You see the fallout that happened with Stephen A. Smith a few weeks ago. No need for the personal shots. Had no issue with the comments on the motivational speech. But then Skip will just say, "Why is everyone so sensitive?" Uh, does Skip remember the debate with Jalen Rose? Skip got real sensitive. There has to be some penalty these guys suffer for personal shots at the athletes and coaches. I have not watched this show in months, and I see why. This is just nonsense. An Olympian just got fired for her comments about a teen; something about he needs a treadmill. Never had so much respect for Jenny than I did after that segment. This is not the segment in which the dispute happened. They probably won't put that one on RU-vid. Maybe they did, and I just cannot find it. But I am sure it is out there somewhere.

There is some underlying tension between Jenny and Skip. Both Shannon and Skip have body shamed people on the show in the past, but this time it kind of hit Jenny on a personal level. It could be because of her high school coach, but I believe it's because she wants to have a "voice" in the show like Molly and Joy. Skip never in this segment opposes Jenny to have her opinion, but she came in with an agenda. I don't see her lasting long in this show and that is unfortunate. But she will get an opportunity where she will be able to have her voice like Joy Taylor. People are praising her in this segment for standing up to Skip, but Skip never did anything to her in the first place as long as this segment is concerned.

They made a good point about Brady always practicing and throwing in pads very early. Dak when he started walking and running should have been in pads grinding it out. Now he’s injured and doing light duty less than one month left in the offseason. Smfh

what? I thought that was the point was that he shouldn't have been doing that much work early, pads would just add and strain more i'd think. I think he was just too excited to be back on a field with real players throwing and was getting carried away. Also i dunno when tom brady did this, but there is a rule where they can't practice in pads until a certain time and has been for a while now. I could be wrong, i think it may have started a conversation about NFL saying no hitting, and setting limits on how often they could practice, then not letting them wear pads until a certain time. Shannon always talks about the old days how they went out there right away first day and were hitting, and doing 2 a days.
