Here's an Incredible, I know I say that quite a lot in this video but its true, Skjold Gen 5 Bass. This bass was on loan from a Bass Hang family member and we couldn't be more thankful for the loan of this awesome bass.
This bass was recorded direct through my A Designs Audio KGB DI/Preamp. There are a couple of times that the signal distorts due to my fault of not resetting the input gain on the KGB and/or interface, I do apologize about that.

Sounds a little like a USA MTD, but with a little extra sweetness in the mids. Beautiful sounding and looking bass.

This bass sounds fantastic. Thanks for the review. Pete is an amazing luthier and the nicest guy ever. I just ordered a Gen bass myself! It’s gonna be a brutal wait! 😊

Great demo! I'm not sure if the body is alder. That looks like obeche which Pete normally use.

metallutca Thanks so much!!! I did check with Pete about the specs and believe he said it’s Alder but I will check and make sure. Thanks for the heads up!!!

The Bass Hang cool. If Pete says so, it can't be wrong. I just mentioned it because I had a Skjold Gen4 using obeche body which looks quite similar.
