That's because it is a mechanically superior car and is indestructible. Agreed that the fortuner is overpriced for what it offers (feature wise), but it simply keeps running and running and has a crazy resale value which no German car can even dream of. And in the price bracket of 40-50L, more than the initial cost of ownership, the post purchase experience matters a lot. No one but an enthusiast would get a Skoda considering how poor the AS&S of VWAG is. The Kodiaq is a good car no doubt. But the fortuner is in a league of its own.
@@veeramallasrinivas2041 Yet the BMW 320d and C220d sells more than their petrol counterparts. Diesel engines have come a long way. The torque of a diesel cannot be matched by a petrol. And Turbo-petrols are more susceptible to fuel quality.
Great Vlog! But I don't really think this Skoda is overpriced for a change. For the kit and quality it offers, especially compared to Tiguan and fortuner, it really is a VFM proposition. Good pricing by Skoda this time around and good discounts can be expected 7-8 months down the line too.
Not at all overpriced, rather very average pricing. Tiguan 38L Superb 38L erstwhile Endeavour 40L starting and Fortuner...........defination of being overpriced.
The feature-loaded cabin and the luxury and premiumness it offers, definitely makes the Kodiaq a very good proposition and can be a good affordable alternative to more expensive luxury SUVs. The only thing which I feel is that apart from the new steering wheel, Skoda could have made more changes in the visual appearance of the interior because it is more or less similar to the Pre-Facelift model. But Overall the Kodiaq is definitely an amazing SUV and is very desirable❤❤❤
@@btsistrash341 and one of my friends brought a petrol Fortuner and it was giving 3km/l on city and 7-8 km/l on highway despite driving on eco mode and he sold it after 2 months because he don't want to spend money on filling petrol 2-3 times a day😂🤣🤣
I’m a proud Škoda superb 2021 owner & I can tell you for sure that this kodiaq is definetly looking very luxurious but but as of now recently I drove the XUV 700 diesel torque converter & I was surprised how awesome car Mahindra has made . With almost the same specs , diesel option & luxury in XUV 700 , I don’t feel it’s a good option to shell out that odd 20 lacs extra when in 25 lacs you get a whole world full of goodies . My love & respect for Mahindra .

mileage of this kodiaq more then u have said in your video , i have 2019 model kodiaq style Nearly drove around 60k machine is just fantastic mileage is good nearly around 11-12km/l in city drive and i usually get 16-17km/l on highway

I am confused that should i buy toyota fortuner legender or skoda kodiaq top model. Most people will say that fortuner don't have features and is more expensive. But kodiaq is only with petrol and it will be costly in long run andfortuner share parts are cheap But i have booked kodiaq
But WHY remove the third steering spoke though??!! It's just so much fun to push the spokes to steer the car over a long turn and to fix just two fingers in the third spoke design to control the car... Yess it's unsafe but it's fun....
VW Group should actually bring back Diesel's, as rightly said no TSI can replace the Efficiency and Torque of TDI. Not offering Diesel would be suicidal for VW group. TDI is what helped VW & Skoda establish as brands in India (They can brag as much as they can about TSI but its no where close to fun and efficiency that TDI's had to offer). Very well built cars not having diesel power train is a big miss for us as customers. #VWSkodaAudi#BringBackDiesels
I fully agree. I drive a VW Tiguan 2.0 TDI and it's a fantastic mix of performance, economy and great German engineering. VW group has risked their already low sales by further ditching their fantastic diesels.
One of the best skoda! As a VW group fan and owner of TDI, i miss the TDI a lot! But still the 2.0L TSI is well crafted! Tiguan is unstated elegance & well priced but kushaq is better for its offerings👍 #GermanAnyDay
Skoda should launch top model like overseas. Since not much buyer but if they give top then might people who like to shell there money they might bought….now people might wait n not much buyer for this one ☝️
With the package it has on offer, there is no direct competition. The more expensive rivals miss out on a lot and cost more too. Considering the alternatives and what you get for the money you spend, Kodiaq definitely makes it’s case stronger.

The pre facelift car actually made a lot of sense to me with its Diesel engine. Having driven both, the diesel and the petrol I can say that the diesel was better in terms of everyday drive, pulling capacity (although it produced 40 hp lesser) and the efficiency is definitely unparalleled of a diesel
You don't need it Fukre but the people living in states like J&k , Himachal, Uttrakhand, Punjab Haryana, Delhi, Assam, Sikkim , Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Mizoram love the heated seats function you foooool
