As a little boy I was already fascinated by cars. From the age of 17 I work in the automotive industry for various brands such as Ford, Daewoo, Suzuki, Renault, Volkswagen and Skoda.
I started out as a car polisher on my 17th, where I am now sales manager for the Volkswagen and Skoda brands
My passion is with cars and since 2007 I have been working at Volkswagen.
This is something I wanted as a little boy of 5 years old
I film as many different Volkswagen's as possible to give you a good picture of colors, versions and coverings.

Hello, the logo that is under the side letters sportline, which appears in the second 0:50 of the video, where can I get it? I'm going to order a car just the same, and I like that detail of the logo. Thank you very much.

My god, even the 2020 model gets the older entertainment unit with real knobs. Not here in Australia. We get the smooth faced unit. No knobs.

Probably you’ve got different infotainment system? There are 3 of them...

this is middle one, amundsen, we also have bigger 9.2 inch without knobs, called columbus.. it is 900€ price difference..

One issue that i came across when driving in snowy conditions, is thst the radar in the front gets covered by all the snow and mud and will stop working. Sure, you can stop and wipe it, but that lasts for a couple of minutes. This also affects the cruise control that does not work either if the radar is not working. Much better to put the radar on top of the windscreen like on the Volvos, so that the wipers can reach it and clean.

There is a gap between the dashboard and the plastic panel below, left and bit downward from the infotainment display. You should check it!

@martin harrington, You are probably refering to the “columbus” navigation system. The one shown is the “amundsen” navigation system. Nothing old, just a matter of higher standard (and price)

Martijn W. That looks like the columbus system to me. They wouldn’t put the cheaper amundsen in a top spec Sportline. Mine is the Columbus system but no knobs.

Hello Martin Harrington , I am absolutely sure this is a amundsen system. The reason why i am sure....i have the sportline myself with it. The columbus system is an add on for another €900 or so. The Dutch distributer “pon” of Skoda decides what package are implemented as “standard”. This makes the sportline less costly and we can detirmine ourselfs if we want to spent the extra for a higher class system. The reason for having a “cheaper” module in it is because of our extremely high taxes over cars. For the rest the differences are small (if any) as you can see in the video.

Martijn W. Here in Australia, the sportsline is the premium model, and as such, has everything, usually bought with all the luxury and tech pacs available. We also have high car taxes too. As far as I know, no Kodiaq comes to Australia with anything but the Columbus system.
