Should you buy a used Skoda Roomster MPV 2005 - 2010? Pros and cons, maintenance costs and common problems of the Roomster. Transmission problems Engine reliability
We have owned a Roomster 2008 now for nearly 6 years, and have had no issues whatsoever , it has been mega reliable, affordable to run, it is the 3 cylinder 1.4 diesel that we had re mapped to 110bhp, it now performs very well and pulls strongly in all gears, often embarrassing many that underrate its abilities up hills etc . Yes, it's ugly, but quirky at the same time, but reliability has been faultless other than a lazy starter motor which was easily replaced at home, very easy to service at home for the D.I.Y mechanic, nice to drive, and huge capacity makes it as practical as cars can get .
@@georgeduffy2654 Yes, was great to drive and comfy, sadly ours was written off a few weeks ag when a lorry carrying a static home swung over and the static home side swiped our car
Model: Fresh. great car, the best I ever had and very practical with our two gsd dogs. Weakness/defects: electric cables from door to car after 7 years ( Bad thin material made in Ukrain, wires break and causes problems), pressure control unit of turbo after 140.000km,( small round wheel is turned oval), gas flap defect at 182.000km, overhauled. 183.000km>> 2 x replacing front and back brakes, doorrubbers defect because you make contact on entry and getting out
My skoda, cuts out while driving. Every now and then, sometimes the engine cuts out completely, Sometimes the reves die but the car is still slowly running, after a few turns of the key it starts and drives normally, it's a 2008 1.9 Help please,
62 plate roomster 100000 miles from new. Tyre wear inside front always, despite many alignments. CV boots twice in last 3 years. Ball joints just starting to wear. Electric window on near side would not open one rainy day. Engine once cut out and would not restart, subsequently car returned to me no fault….Been fine since. Mpg around 60. No bad for 10 years driving for such a cheap car. Wish I could buy another!
I'm owner of 2015 last generation of ŠKODA ROOMSTER. It is my first family car and I highly recommend. It's so practical. 1.2 petrol engines is so reliable. It goes about 4.5l/100km but on highway it goes to 7l/100km, likely I don't use highways that often. There is not any problem except exhaust sensor who lite up a check engine. But I'm going te replace or clean that one after a winter. All in all is a good car.
do ye guys know of any reviews that speak simple english for those of us who only want to know if they should or should not buy a car, as much as i appreciate this review its Chinese to me, many of us just want to know if a car is a good car or not and what the known issue are with it
It IS in English. The information in this video is very useful and helpful. Maybe try actually listening to someone with a thick accent instead of just giving up and also having the audacity to request someone take the time and effort to actually do all the work for you and point you to another video by another creator. What a rude little... You know what? I bet you didn't buy one in the end. You're definitely not a Skoda person.
