This Washington State nature walk is located in Olympic National Forest near road NF-2340, GPS coordinates 47.418811, -123.329382. Dogs are allowed on leash and a Northwest Forest Pass or other valid pass is required. The hike is around 6 miles round trip along the river with amazing old growth forest. It is steep at the beginning of the hike but soon levels out. You can go further down the trail and it will connect to the Skokomish Upper South Fork Trailhead after about 10 miles. Horses are also allowed on the trail and the parking for that is down the road a little at Lebar Horse Camp. This is a Fall hike but in spring it is highly recommended for the beautiful Trillium and other flowers. Some points of interest along this trail are the old LeBar Claim, Church Creek Shelter and Harps Shelter. Expect to see moss covered bigleaf maples and alders with some spectacular giant cedar and fir trees.
The video is filmed at 4K 60FPS (UHD) with a GoPro HERO11 Black in September of 2023 (Fall/Autumn). The hike is minimally edited and sounds are captured by the microphone only; no music or sound was added in.
