Really enjoyed watching this and your TikTok’s :-) This is definitely a labour of love and you should be very proud of what you’ve achieved so far. Really looking forward to seeing your progress on this huge project.
After watching a recent "short", I thought I would see where you started. Had a bit of a chuckle (not towards you, but that I've bin there), watching the carnage unfold with the demolition. I was a structural/interior mechanic on commercial and BBJ's (Boeing Business Jet's) for 5 years. Ripping up floors, side panels and installing new of everything is serious work. I learned real quick that full body protection...no matter How Hot it got...was crushual in not getting sliced up. Nice Job you two
❤ Enjoy watching your Tic tok videos. I found it interesting because I drive a 04 school bus like this 05, and my husband is a bus mechanic. To see the possibilities of converting it into a home is amazing. Y'all are doing a great job. I can't wait to see the finally.😊
Awww thank you so much! We appreciate you supporting us on here and Tik Tok! And how cool you drive a bus! Kudos to you because it’s challenging to drive haha!
I have not bought my first bus yet but I will soon and y'all made inspiration out of me because what y'all doing I want to do the same thing I love you guys keep it up
I am here all for it! I been wanting to watch something worth my time for a while and this is perfect especially since I been bored. Anytime I seen a new video on tiktok/youtube that you post I immediately watch it.
I live near Portland, Oregon and just to the east of us is Multnomah Falls (there are lots of waterfalls around there) and hiking trials galore. It's absolutely beautiful country with all the trees. 💕
Good to see you here I saw your post on IG today I really like what you doing out there then I decided to search you on RU-vid for more final I'm here ☺️☺️☺️ much love from Dar es Salaam Tanzania 🇹🇿 ❤️
I also found you on TikTok. I have the heart of a vagabond, and I want to live like a Gypsy. I won’t be far behind you guys! Thanks for the videos so I can come along for the ride.
Posting here for longevity because, based on the production quality of your videos and your charisma, I know you 2 will blow up soon so I want proof that I was here at the start. 😝
Am really intrigued by this I love your work and believe me this is also my passion I will one time convert a skoolie into a home am inspired by you guys I wana be like you in future. Looking forward to more about this project keep it up
We have been there! It’s rad! We are looking for places outside of Florida, since we have lived here our whole life we are excited to explore elsewhere! Especially out west!!!
Love your adventure. I recommend Red River Gorge geological area in Kentucky. Also, would recommend Tdap vaccines for each of you. Your last childhood vaccines of tetanus was at 11 or 12 yrs of age. Safety first. Can’t wait to see your adventures.
I just found you and your bus build- I am about to embark on my first bus build journey and I have absolutely no experience in construction but I am determined to make my dream come true- I know I have a long road ahead and I have so much to learn- but I am looking forward to every victory every challenge every setback and every learning experience- I have so many fears with the electrical system and the plumbing and the solar- I have so many questions on order of when to get what done- it keeps me up at night trying to figure it out- but it is also giving me the chance to take control of my life again- thank you for sharing your journey- your story- I hope that I can do the same soon
well as two people with no prior experience, we are right there with you! We believe anything is possible with hard work so we know with your determination you will make your dream come true too! And exactly as you said, you just got to enjoy the journey for what it is! It’s not always easy, there are lots of up and downs and mistakes, but sooo much to learn from - it’s an incredible experience! And it can definitely be overwhelming when you start to think of everything, so we constantly remind ourselves “one bite at a time, one weekend at a time” all you can do it’s take the next stop forward! We are rooting for you and cheering you and so excited for all you will learn and experience during your conversion! God bless you & your journey friend ❤️
What do you do for money if you'll be traveling all the time. What type of job allows you to do that? Basically, how do you support yourselves? I love watching the progress. Can't wait for the next episode!
We both have full time remote jobs that we will be keeping while we live on the bus and travel the country. Basically as long as we have signal we can work full time for anywhere in the world :) paul has a remote marketing job and is successful with crypto too. shae has her own business + is a social media manager for other businesses also. So not only do we have full time jobs, but two each haha! We have been working hard the past few years to save up for the cost of the conversion (which we hope to stay within our $15,000 budget)
I like your picture-in-picture presentation style. Good on you for looking into thermal bridging! I've been preaching that gospel all over Facebook and Reddit. 😂
The official model name of the bus you have is the IC RE that's built on the International 3000 stripped chassis. Does the bus have the 7.6 liter DT466 I6 diesel engine or the 6.0 liter VT365 V8 diesel engine?
Have you met and/or talked to fellow Floridians and Schoolie builders, Jess and Jake? Those folks have been through 3 busses if my information is right.
Our weekly videos are also on Facebook! It’s just RU-vid only allows 1 minute “shorts” and our videos are around 2 minutes! So that’s why we say go to our Tik Tok or Instagram or Facebook if you want to see the second half of our weekly updates :)
Will you be painting the buses exterior a different color? How many watts of power do you want for solar panels? And will the solar be on the roof or on the sides of the bus.
Yes we will be painting the outside of the bus because we want to, but also because legally we have to. The bus cannot remain looking like a school bus. We are aiming for 1000 watts of solar but that is because we are going for a simple set up. Solar can vary greatly depending on what you want to run. And your solar has to be on the roof you can’t have solar on the sides because the sun wouldn’t hit them.
@@buslife4me Blue Van Dan is building out a bus and he put solar on the sides and once he gets to a campsite he props the panels up so sun hits them, while driving they come back down to provide privacy
@@BookTube0ne that seems really silly because you would miss all the solar opportunities as you drive + so much extra work having to constantly adjust your solar. Definitely not something we would ever do. Especially after watching years of skoolie / van conversion & never once seeing someone put them on the sides lol. To each is own though so do whatcha wanna do.
