A cool idea would be to mount solar panels to the outside of the railings so when you have it in the closed position it can charge the batteries, and in the open position provides additional barriers rather than using the metal wires.
Yeah I thought about that too but then I won't have anywhere to put the kayaks 🤣. I have some fold out panels I'm trying to find a place to hang. Metal wires are there to spead out support. Would be too much stress on the bottom brackets without them
Sorry, no I do not. It's pretty straight forward tho. If you can weld or know any1 who can, just show them the part where I go over everything. I think I spent around $200-$300 on the parts. It's just square tubing and some 1/2 inch steel plates cut up and welded together + bolts. Before I decided on the benches I was gonna throw up some mesh netting to cover the openings
Most of the hardware I made myself from about 40 feet of 1.5" steel tubing and some 1/2" steel plates I measured out and cut to length. For the leg supports, I sandwiched the steel plates and made the little brackets at 1:38 to both keep the legs from folding out and to hold the pivot in place. Bolt through the bottom that they hinge on and I got some locking pins from Lowe's to clip them in. I'm not much of a welder so I drew everything up, bought a buncha steel and took it all to a friends shop and we made things up as we went :P
So yeah....most of it is either steel tubing, flat steel, or angle iron I bought in bulk and found some way for it to be useful. After I made most of it I wandered around Lowes for a while looking for ideas. Any sheet metal or welding shop should be able to source the metal and help build what's needed for a pretty decent price. Then just take it back and bolt it up
The 'music' makes it very hard to hear and hurts my ears. Try listening to your own videos to understand. Never add music to a tour video or DIY demo or wildlife. Golden rule. Keep the camera steady, this is making me sea sick. Gimbal or tripod please. Very cool deck! I think you can do that on a skoolie, but not Class C, which is not built as strong.
