"Ready to rock the gravel! The SKS SPEEDROCKER mudguard made of high-performance impact-resistant plastic was designed especially for gravel, cyclocross and racing bikes with disc brakes. A special feature is the dual spoiler function on the front mudguard, which is fastened with rubberised hook and loop fasteners. The rear mudguard also ensures perfect splash protection thanks to the telescopic extension profile and is fixed in place with sturdy rubber straps." - SKS Germany
"Flexible Fastening System for any Geometry"
"The fastening system with flexible flaps can be mounted on the frame to suit any geometry. Integrated U-stays with an ESC safety system not only ensure a clean look, but also maximise the available clearance between the tyre and mudguard."
• Made of high-performance impact-resistant plastic
• Dual spoiler function at the front
• Telescopic extension profile at the rear
• Ideal for gravel and racing bikes with disc brakes
• Made in Germany

I distribute the guards in the UK, the reason why they had to use a velcro strap on the front was because it needs a firm fixture to ensure the safety pop off works if anything gets stuck in the front wheel and catches the stays. when they used the rubber straps they just stretched but the pop offs didnt activate.

Planet Bike sells most of their fender sets with a plastic buckle for the front fender stays

Big mudguard fan; SKS makes great products. I always had their Bluemels on my rando & winter/commute bikes. The less time I spend cleaning a bike the better, plus I'm a sucker for being drier and therefore warmer here on the New England coast.

Have a set of these on my Grade. Been using off-road last couple of years in UK. Easy to add and remove, robust, not fugly and work well. Best solution found so far.

Don't know how I missed this video from you especially since I'm Subscribed but I caught it now and I'm getting some of these fenders. I am vowing to ride outside as much as possible this Winter and avoid the trainer. Thanks for the video.

Thinking of upgrading to the Speedrocker from the Raceblade Pro XL as they are just on the limit running 38mm knobby tires. Also at speed with the Raceblade I get muddy water launching forward from the front wheel then getting blown back at me from the wind. I like the Speedrocker's extra little front piece which I hope would stop that.

I have a set of these, done many miles in less than perfect conditions. I found them to be a bit fiddly to set up, but once there, super easy to take on and off. And they work great. I have had to occasionally adjust the front fender, it will slide down a tapered fork over rough stuff, kinda wish they used the rubber straps here instead of the velcro. Maybe they know something I don't. This year, swaping between 2 bikes is a nice option.

That's good to know, thanks. Is it prone to getting grit in between the straps and the frame which could cause surface damage to the frame/paint? Cheers

Been running the Speedrockers for over 2 years without issues. They’re great for keeping the rider clean, but the bike still gets filthy

Excellent mudguards and entertaining tutorial. SKS needs to simplify the front mounting, maybe with stretchy rubber instead of velcro which inevitably gets dirty and less useful very quickly, to make the front mounting as quick as the rear mounting.

I just run a pair of MTB mudguards, with extension flaps. A little bit of toe overlap is better than faffing about with stays (from personal experience). My setup has about 90% of the coverage of these 'full' length ones, but are more beneficial for MTB-esque tyres (for snow riding 😁). Mine are SKS Shockboard front, Armadillo (for 26 inch wheel, so definitely need the flap) rear

SKS mudguards are quite popular in the UK. Having bought some this year I can see why. As another poster said, your bike still gets filthy but your legs and ass stay dry.

Just ordered a 6061 Black Label All Road for winter commuting and was looking for a good set of mud guards for it and these seem like they may work.

I see that a couple of comments mentioned that these mudguards protect the rider from getting wet and dirty but not the bicycle. I use 700x38 Pathfinders and assume that the coverage of these fenders fit well within that specification. My concern is, in fact, that they significantly reduce the time it takes for me to clean my bicycle after a rainy ride. It'd be great if those with SKS SPEEDROCKER experience chime in on this particular issue.

I've had these since early 2021 and they work as expected and really well. The rear is easy to mount but the front is fiddly which I am not fond on. I'd prefer it if they used the same rubber straps and just have them attached to either of the front fenders and have it hook onto the other.

New subscriber here! Love the Channel! Thanks for this. Do you reckon this will also work on a road bike with rim brakes (28mm tires)? I’m thinking I’ll just get one pair of SKS and use them on both my road bike and gravel bike 🤔

How long are the stays? Ideally I'd want them to be trimmed in every situation, at least they'd always be long enough. Also it owuld be nice if it was possible to utilise threaded frame mounts, so they'd need to be even longer then. Just had some SKS Edge guards and the stays were woefully short.

Brilliant review, thanks 👍 Could you also do one of a set of Hipster fenders (with a capital “h”) like Velo Orange or Honjo? Would totally love to see that one 😜😋

Have to look into those. Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't most of those of metal construction? Wondering if there would be annoying AF rattling?

Can you change the orientation/position of the struts if you want to shorten the fenders?
