I don't mind the pvp... what I mind is going into a helm wager and the guy has 2 or more of his buddies in it with him. The same goes for the cargo hunt too.
I agree 100% I'm going to do a video soon about how I think they could potentially fix this but I doubt it will get anywhere near enough views for anyone at Unisoft to see it
yeah most people who solo agree with this but those who like to gank people argue "its pvp get over it", i as a solo player mostly think helm wagers should be for solos only but sadly ive had to resort now to asking friends to help me secure my own helm wagers now. not fun getting my butthole smashed by 3 lvl 12's lol
PVP is Saint gets a lot of hate in this game because it seems fairly unbalanced you tried to do cutthroat cargo nobody's doing the event you pick up the map you get 80% of your way to the destination for people. Join spawn at your destination and kill you And then someone with more helm upgrades. Than you cashes it in before you get back. There goes the last 10, 15, 20 minutes of your life Hostile takeover you're playing solo and suddenly a team comes up. Two of their people do nothing but murder you the entire time while the third person is collecting points so he can win the takeover Not really surprising the people don't want to get in on it, especially solo players But I can say they did a good job by not forcing you to partake in PvP
You make some very solid points. The teaming thing is a major issue that I think is always going to be tough to deal with but if Ubisoft implements the right strategies to counter it I think it can be mitigated to a point where at least the majority these event won't have teams destroying solos. I'm going to do a video discussing this soon so be sure to come into thr comments on that video and share your thought.
Great video, but I really have a question that doesn't give me peace. The food that says "restores Repair Kit efiiciency" I tested it and it shows for repair kit one it will still heal only 6k health and it doesn't decrease cooldown to use. What that food does, is it bugged?
Some of the limitations on builds are directly caused by the game mechanics and their choice of leveling certain weapons over others. We all know the flame bombards are really good weapons, but they're only a 98 gear score so there's no way you get in the level 12 if you have a bunch of them. Same with the long guns, none of them are ranked very high except for the long nines and even those are on the low end of high. If you want to do like the game suggest you should and hit level 12 with your ship. There's not many combinations you can use to get there. You have to use mostly blue and purple items and that doesn't include fire weapons, repair weapons or most of the long weapons. Unfortunately. I feel like they need to address this in the future so that builds can be more diverse, but the game mechanic itself is pushing people towards build restrictions
I hear ya, from what I can tell gear score only makes a big difference when there is more than 2 levels of difference in the ships but I agree it does feel a little unbalanced and that we are kind of pigeon holed into using certain things for sure. I plan to do a video soon offering suggestions for build and PvP balance and diversity of builds. Hopefully it will be a good place to have some good discussions on these matters.

@@BertyBogTrotmaybe but it makes using the sambuk worthles because if you wanna play that way, it makes more sense using the brigantine or snow or bark, if you wanna make use of the perks from the sambuk, i would suggest long 9s front and back, zamzama 3 on sides and leopold 3 mortar or rockets, not to mention the other perk stat that you inflict 50% more damage on burning targets. you also can use fire bombards on both sides aswell. or even full fire bombards on all sides, also works like a charme.
Sure, it is nice to kill your enemy in combat, but if you're just trying to get from point A to point b disabling them is just as good. Tearing down their sails and flooding them is quite an inconvenience they'll have to deal with
I think there should just be designated pvp servers everyone is treated like an NPC if you don’t want to lose it leave it in your warehouse and think in helm wagers the attackers should lose there whole inventory if killed trying to take Your coins because who doesn’t join every helm wager and try to take it there’s literally no risks or downsides to being killed there’s literally no reason to not try to take someone’s wager if they kill you you just respawn and pick up your items and try again
Because PVP brings the cheaters and it’s just toxic as hell. And this game does NOT need any PVP at all. So how about you let us have our opinions and not hate on us for not wanting it in a game like this where it’s got no business being
The most mind bogglingly stupid opinion I have heard about this game. PVP doesn’t belong in this game?? It’s an MMO for fucks sake. What is the point of having other players if you cant fight other people at all or compete against other people. Just because you guys are either too scared or bad at the game doesn’t mean you should ruin it for others. You people are the same kind of idiots that complained about pvp in sea of thieves.
10:47 get rid of health furniture and put sticky fuel and do more damage to ships ablaze, and fire rate speed build up one, and ablaze last longer, ( not the flooding and ablaze, there is a specific ablaze last longer, and put that fire guns elemental damage 19% increase cause it stacks the ablaze damage rate and damage
The reason I'm not using furniture that increase the ablaze effect is because restoration kits can cleanse it away and if they are a good player they will pop it at the start of the ablaze effect so they don't take any of the DoT from the effect. Plus the sooner the effect wears off the sooner we can re-apply it and get the 5k burst damage from the scorched passive.
I had a kid do a wager for 350 coins we got roughly 68-700 for the win, but me and 4 friends jumped on that wager and hunted him down, then after he came back got sunk, I felt bad invited him to our server take over party, and offered to give him free items and armor to help him And said he can join our party and be protected from all other attacks form us or anyone else who is in the server who was t with us, he denied my request to help him and was screamping we’re losers for taking his coins, there is a massive massive warning you can lose your cojns do you still want to risk your hard work? If you accept this yoh also accept you can be assured to always lose these coins if your not in a full party with shit capable of protecting your ass if you get in trouble. You would gonout drinking with male friends who won’t back you up if you get beat up, so why would you do that in a pvp situation in a video game where violence and power are key to success and survival?
The problem with the wager is there’s no risk for the attackers they can join the event literally get downed to a one shot back out the event and heal while following me where I’m going where I can’t do anything about it then join back in at full health. There has to be a downside to wagers if you join my event and I kill you I should get your entire inventory or some of your PO8. I join Every wager because there’s absolutely no downsides or risk for me
@@bryandevereaux4445 there is a reason they gave us multiple ships lol so we can heal up quickly , also it’s ment to bring friends together to help eachother not act like ur gonna solo win ur wager against me and all 15 of my friends in each lobby, I sugest anyone having issues with pvp not do the wager or make for Ed’s turn cross play off and enjoy a full server of friends in same party chat or discord party
