Rogue is SO much better than Skull & Bones! Skull & Bones is not even a proper pirate game, it's just a ship battle simulator. I'll stick to Black Flag and Rogue thanks, no way I'm paying $70+ for Skull & Bones; its an arcadey shallow piece of crap dumbed down game; no thanks!
I hated boarding every single time to fight, black flag wasn't realistic with its gatling canons, the ships in both games move too fast and turn too sharply, thing is, its a video game, there are realistic naval games out there and they are boring af and slow. I enjoyed black flag but it sucks in todays standards, and i disagree with alot of the skull and bones gameplay because i've done it before, no real innovation, just a coat of new paint on an older system thats been watered down. people can enjoy what they want i spose.
@@danielc9967 Guess you haven't played in a while, you can have canons shoot every few seconds...gatling canons xD People forget how silly black flag was so i forgive you.
People are hating on the boarding. I reckon they nailed it. It would get so boring if every single time i had to jump over and fight enemies for 2-3 minutes just to get a little extra loot. Do that over and over through the course of the entire game and you’ll have everyone hating the devs because of it. The games fun as is
Truth man, boarding being quick and to the point makes gameplay smoother, would drag tasks out too long if you had to literally board and fight everyone. Game is great
i was pissed when it didn't have boarding but then i played it and yeah i cant imagine having to do that too it would eventually turn into a grind fest that would just waist time. would love for some better boarding animation because it looks silly and glitchy now
this is how they get you to settle for less, boarding never got boring in Black flag, why would it be boring here? Due to how free flow it was, it made it exciting each time. Imagine having to board each ship differently, or adding features like lower decks shootouts and combat. So so many missed opportunities. STOP STTLING FOR LESS. This is a $60 game
Skull and bones looks great visualy Combat is weird Bit too fast even for game Cannons are reloaded way too fast + it lacks boarding which was kinda what make naval battle for black flag and rogue great
Yes, there’s sinking ships, or sinking ships while destroying forts, or sinking big ships, or sinking sea creatures, or sinking more ships, or doing contracts about sinking ships, So many options!
Skull & Bones looks really good & the naval battles are def an improvement over the BF/Rogue physics. People hating bcoz its cool to hate UBISOFT. Guys have some respect for their effort.
How are they am improvement when they are just more arcade-like Ships are way too fast, agile and accelerate like a racecar. I dont see where the physics got "improved"
@@nicz7694 I hear your point but you really got to play it and you won't notice the acceleration. In fact when in battle, if the ship is slow, it negatively impacts gameplay experience.
@@TheAssassinsInspiration I played the closed alpha, the closed betas and the open Beta already.. Acceleration is almost instantly. Ships goe from standing still to max speed in under 3 seconds. And the speed is way too high and thats not regarding combat. I tested out, 10 knots pass 100m in around 5-6s easily which is 100/6=16.6ms per second x 3.6= 60km/h. Ships that drive 10kts go 60km/h while 10kts is actually only around 18 km/h. The Brig ingame goes 18kts, thats over 100km/h. What sailboat goes that fast? Even modern warships aren't that fast. Even Torpedo Boats aren't that fast. I know that this is no game where you want to wait since you are driving constantly but thats just immersion breaking as hell. I can live with 1.5-2 times the realistic speed but 3 times, almost 4 times is just WAY too much. The game just doesnt need that. Slower speed and slower acceleration would also improve the tactical gameplay since you have to care about positioning your ship even more and how you approach enemies
@@nicz7694 okay, I have to give you this one. If your numbers are correct then it makes sense and seeing your dedication, I am sure you are right to have your opinion and it's justified. Though I must confess, I play more for experience and exploring the beautiful world than realism. I think of Ubisoft games as a way to teleport myself in those times and immerse myself in the time period.
Looking the video snb just an arcade naval battle game nothing else. You fight get the loot upgrade the ship so you can have modern rocket lunchers. I don't seen any gameplay what try to show the adventures or finding tresaure following clues and riddles in the world or the fun being a pirate.
Doesn't matter , they could make mechanics to counter that, from reduced damage when boarding to making boarding rewarding but risky. Again, don't make excuses for obvious cut corners
Nah bro, I’m with you, I played one hour of the beta and was over it. Rogue and Blackflag were ahead of their time, to think 10 years into the future the ship battle and everything would be even better, they actually went backwards, sad really. Oh well I’ll continue to play Black Flag and Rogue 😅
@@offthewallsurfer1 i dont see any diffrents in combat besides that you need to calculate more in skull in bones where you hitting the ship other wise just the same maby you should test more in the beta, about the colors i can choose the color
