Unfortunately these kinds of doctors that specialize in these procedures are not very common. The only doctor I ever heard of is dr eppley in Minneapolis. Another ones are in South Korea. And now this one. I thought plaguocephaly was a common issue that there was not much awareness of in the 90s and that there would be a ton of doctors who would specialize in this since these issues affect ppl dealing with them. A person can suffer mentally emotionally and physically as a result. Now babies get a helmet and mothers concerns are less. But those who were affected by this now live with a deformed head shape. They have to get certain haircuts because not everything works. Some are afraid of getting in the water around others for the fear they will see their mishapen head. Even though there’s a few doctors that specialize in corrective surgery the cost are far From most ppls budget. Which means many give up any hope. Lastly the procedures are not as discreet as one would wish them to be. Many don’t talk about these things out of shame and feeling less. No one wants to know you had a surgery to fix your head shape. It’s as if it never happened. At least some would want to carry on with life post op as if they didn’t have a surgery and feel and look normal not have to be reminded or remind anyone you had something done to your head shape.
Such a big relief to find out I can have skull reshaping surgery for my flat back of my head. I could cry. Thank you. I will try to save for this to have one day somewhere. I live in New Zealand.

My condition is totally opposite. My head is incredibly big and ultimately out of proportion from my neck down to my toes. I have very a large head. I wish i could do something with this like people with smaller head.

Doc, you gave me hope. I got small skull and it bothers me. Whenever my hair is wet it looks small. To make my head bigger i dry and curl my hair like afro curl it, it gives my head a volume it looks normal with it. My social anxiety is high asf. When it start to rain i get panicked. And i don't go to pools or sea swimming. This procedure (head augmentation) will give my a head a volume and make it look a lil bigger. Tough to be born like this.

I want to shave my head bald, but one side of my head, in the back, is flat, while the other side is nice and round. At a certain profile angle it looks like my head got chopped off. I'm exaggerating a bit, but it's way noticeable. Do you do a mold of the head to get symmetry?

Been considering this for years. I don’t know what happened to me but my head shape is extremely weird, my forehead sticks out and then the back is flat. It’s been a struggle to go out in public without a hat or a hoodie. I can’t enjoy anything because I get laughed at. Hopefully someday I can get this surgery

Question. So the top of my head is huge but the back is like flat. But if you fill it in I would just have a even bigger head. So would you be able to reshape it so that the top is flatter and you could fill in the back a little bit?

I started to realize i have a weird head shape not too long ago. Both sides of my head is uneven, like i can feel bumps if i run my fingers on it. I like to style my hair up, but sometimes it doesnt look like normal. Its always too wide on the sides. I also have wide forehead and my hair line is so far at the back. Not only i have flat back. My hairline is super high with that M shape. Plus the side of my head is protrude. I cannot do super short no long hairstyles like man bun or ponytails

I really need your help doc. How about trimming the sides above the ear for a skull that gives the head a wide look. I am talking about the sides just above the ears.... Can those bones be trimmed? I have them being too bulky and it just protrudes out on top my ears
