The intro gave me a Ear Message with the Bass Slider turned up all the way - I'm watching this with the Crusher Wireless. 8:03 - Thank for the Message!
@@nicolaspardo3930 No, but I got mine very warm and deformed before in the HOT sun! The Headband molded to the shape of my Skull, I had to bend the Headband back into shape without damaging them - I got the original Clamping force back, but the are broken in, the plastic expanded. They still sound and feel nice.
@@nicolaspardo3930 where do you live? On the sun. There is no way you can get these headphones hot enough to deform the plastic just by standing outside. I'm pretty sure you would die of heatstroke.
If you listen to hip hop,rap rnb reggae and other bass heavy music then these headphones are PERFECT!!!!!! And the bass sliders not meant to be set to maximum. Maximum is only for songs that might be lacking in bass and might need a bit of help to bring the bass up.
@Lucky Rooster I have those... they are good if you use them for gaming and movies. BUUUUUT.... The clarity of the base is a little disappointing. Because for the new technology applied to them. In the previous crusher, you can FEEL the vibration, which is awesome. But in the wireless... you can HEAR the vibration, so the base sounds muffled. almost... fake... They also use the Hap-tic signature which means the bass is separated... left from right... Buuuut, (and there's a big but). if the song has more bass in the left cup than the right cup... you can hear it, and it soundS weird... very very weird almost disorientating. not a great sensation, cause it makes you think your headphones are broken or bad calibrated, but its just the song that you're listening that has the base on one side more than the other. Also the sound signature its a little "In the face" kind of sound, so... there is no soundstage. :( It's wasn't a bad purchase since I bought them half of the price ($50), they are comfy, easy to use, wireless and really have the 40 hours of battery life which is awesome. for $50, The SKCW are great but more than a $100??? It's a big nope. If you have any question... I'll gladly answer it whit honesty :)
I am glad you reviewed this pair of headphones. I had them for a week and returned them back because of the "haptic driver" vibration, but it was really interesting experience. I replaced them with Sennheiser 4.30G for 70 bucks - they are still pretty much bass heavy (punchy), but the rest of the sound I way more balanced.
For the price point of $137 on Amazon I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better quality sound. The beats headphones don't sound near as good and cost substantially more. This is just my opinion but it's a nice option to increase the bass if it's too your liking. The 💀 crusher are excellent for movies and gaming as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to spend $140. Thanks for sharing your review.
I used to have these partially out of sheer curiosity and the fact that they sound, at least for me, inoffensive to my ears. The haptic bass boost is fun as hell for movies and games and the like but tends to overblow the bass even with just a small amount of boost. Also helps that they cost around $150-200 depending on merchant, which is also around the same price as something like the V-Moda Crossfade M-100s nowadays if you want decent bassy headphones that don't rely on gimmicks. That being said, I'm digging the more laidback and subtle aesthetic Skullcandy decided to go with the Crusher Wireless. Reminds me of my MDR-1000Xs.
It's near 2021. I'm 65 and just bought these. They easily take me back to my beloved heavy bass disco music of my youth. So I don't think these headphones and those Skullcandy or else came after is a matter of being a millennial. I always enjoyed deep bass and honestly, I think my kind doesn't count that much the Mhz when listening to music. But I agree: not for classical music, jazz or podcasts or for those whose ears are trained to decipher any sound and vibration.
I'm glad there are people like you on youtube! I was getting close to buying these but after your honest review I will not be buying these, I don't want a rediculous vibrating overpowering bass, I want nice deep low good quality bass not overpowering. Thank you
Their headphone audio department has shown signs of improvement starting some years back when they released the Hesh 2.0s and that weird RocNation collab headphone called the Aviator (Used to have a pair. Real nice in white but little sound isolation and cost way too much for the meh sound quality). Oh, and the Hesh 3s are actually decent. A much better buy compared to the Crusher Wireless tbh.
I enjoy bass but in an effort to emphasize bass some makers completely wreck the overall sound. I've heard some that make a booming sound with some rock music but somehow manage to make the bass guitar almost inaudible. Sometimes bass can sound better to me on a tinny headphone. These are the equivalent of choosing a restaurant based on the quantity of food served.
Change the pads to Brainwavz sheepskin, turn the bass all the way down....with its 40 hour battery life over Bluetooth....not bad at all for certain uses.
My son pulled the cable out, there are 14 connections in total. Can you please help me with the inside circuit screenshots on both sides. I want to re-sorder the cables. Please help.
Thanks for your great videos! I know they're not high end, but many people say they're amazing for being bluetooth: the erato apollo 7s earphones. I'd be curious to know what you think of them.. Would be wonderful to see a video review. Thanks
Just to correct something you said: the 149$ Skullcandy Crusher Wireless DO come with a bag. By the way, the carrying bag is incredibly good quality, especially for the price, and is even spill resistant!
Just got the headphones and tested them on my dads record player and my LG V30 with quad DACs, I agree with everything you said but I think the highs sound muddy to me compared to my Sony ZX600, I feel like I'm an odd type of headphone user haha
LOL Tyll is an audiophile Maybe not the best to review a millennial bass head headphone. For a real bass head, that rattle on their head means everything. That why Skullcandy is so popular. I’m a bit of a mix of both so I still look forward to his reviews.
Dude, seriously, look, Millenials, I've been born 1988, when I was growing up this term was never mentioned, once, so whatever the fuck is going on right now that people think it's cool saying Millenials over and over and over again? I'm not a kid anymore even though I don't act like someone who has no life, but whatever the fuck is wrong with you people and the term Millenials, just stop it, it's wrong, don't categorize people into tags if it suits you, I don't belong in that Millenials category, I'm not a bass head though I like a good bass punch when it's needed. GTFO.
I'm 29 a 80‘s baby and a hip hop head and love BASS!!! And own a pair of crushers..People make the mistake of buying these headphones to listen to country music etc lol even though its got adjustable bass, these headphones are best suitable for bass heavy music like hip hop rnb reggae etc
Papi Grande why do old assholes have to keep getting on that Millennials shit every time!! Hey Papi!!! Not all Millennials are dumbass idiots like you think they are!!! What does this have to do with reviewing bass heavy headphones??? Plus these are the first of their kind to have this much bass. Soon they will be able to have real bass and as well some other companies could jump on that bandwagon since there is a market for this believe it or not!!!
Hey when you slide the bass slider during song, does it vibrate like 4-5 times at different levels? At shop it did for me, but when i bought them and tried out, the knob vibrates only at about 90% before that absolutely nothing happens in any way
The Crushers did skip some frequencies of bass too, which pissed me off! Its sounds good especially when listening to older R&B, Rap, pretty much any genre with a good beat more so than newer and louder recorded music! Still good tho, ANC IS better tho!
great review, thanks for the equ tip, I've tested the sennheiser hd 4.30 and the 4.40 and I found more deep(low) bass on the sennheiser hd 4.30 something really rare happen to me, the led got stuck on green reed blue ligth and I wasn't able to turn them off until I pluged them to the usb and then they turn off.... could't find any info.
He already said he didn't like the M1060's ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KBf5QErGWA8.html Would you still want a review if he goes over how much he doesn't like them?
i had these and i returned them. theres qutie a few well liked amazon 1 star reviews. my personal problem was the bass would turn off depending on the song and you had to move the bass dial to turn it back on again. unacceptable dont buy the xb950s etiher. if your want bass and dont have money buy some used xb500s for $30 locally. if you have money buy the fiio e17k amp and the ws1100is on sale right now. second choice would be v moda m100. if you have alot of dough maybe the nightowl is reliable??
bought a pair tonight for the ultimate extreme bass experience and the only thing i experienced was extreme disappointment yes they had bass but it was only vibrating noise hardly any detail whatsoever in the base skullcandy should have made the base more tight and detailed and they should have made it so it would accurately represent the base tones your listening to but they dont instead it is just a mess with no detail only pro i give these headphones is everything else but the bass sound quality is good but the bass quality is non existent going to return them to walmart in the morning and i will feel better that i got my $$$ back so i can spend it on something much better
Damn, how are they holding up? Oldest skullcandy headphones I've seen in the while are an old buddy's rasta Hesh with tape on one side due to the headband being partially snapped.
SkullCandy offerings/reviews seems to be out of place here. I realize Tyll has sampled *junk* on the channel, but I'm doubting anyone tuning in here cares about this crap.
It is important that he covers more mainstream products to attract new viewers. Just look at how the starts the written article. Appart from that the Crusher isn't terrible, at least it is somewhat unique. In addition Tyll has reviewed a couple other Skullcandy headphones in the past.
His Beats Solo review is the second most viewed video on this channel by quite a margin. Don't assume that people under 25 are idiots who only watch infomercials.
