I'm on the second set with the exact same problem. Skullcandy is rapidly seeming to be shit. EDIT- completely gave up on Skullcandy. Soundcore is the new hotness.

i'm having this same problem rn. i just help the thing down in anger til it finally lit up solidly (not bugging out and blinking, turning on and off again) and now it seems to be charging. i'll update though if its not working. the time rn is 3:51 am ok it's 3:55 and i just fucked with it a bunch til it worked. i tried: forgetting it from bluetooth, reconnecting, and then they were both on but only the right one was connecting. then i put them both back in the case and left it for a second then they were both paired and working. the answer is to click everything til something works

My skullcandy grind can be a pain sometimes, yet they are my favorite headphones, because they were so cheap on ebay. So the problem happens every now and then or once in a blue moon because i use the left earbud in the mornings and the right in the afternoon at work. Pushing the button on the left ear bud 4 times and on the right earbud 4 times several times after putting it back and forth in the charger did it for me. After awhile you will hear the option to pair on the left earbud when you do this. Just remember that once you hear this option on the affected earbud you know you did something right.

Oh man, I totally get the struggle with those Skullcandy Grinds. They're awesome for the price, but yeah, they can be tricky sometimes. Good on you for figuring out that button trick, though! This DOES NOT work. There is a low-level software problem with the earbuds, and no amount of tinkering will fix it. Mine were busted right out of the box

My skullcandy indy ear buds are okay. They were $50 on blackfriday but I think I need to send them back on warranty. They're pretty glitchy

I have a big problem, my Skullcandy AirPods are older than the one in the video and not too long ago my right bud was working just fine until all of the sound was cut off, I tried everything, reconnecting, repairing, cleaning it, literally everything and it still doesn’t work, like I can use the bud to raise the volume or something but I cannot hear any sound and I also can’t hear the bud saying “power on” or “connected”

Tldr; If you lose the right one or didn't bring it with you, you are screwed. Left ear won't play audio unless you have the right ear bud. So dumb, never buying a skull candy product again.

I have Grind Fuel 1st Generaion (model S2GFW) Once in a while for no reason, the left sight won't charge or "plays" dead - no sound My fix is to delete them from whatever divice (PC, Phone) they are bounded to and the I push on both earbuds the button for a real long time, like 10 or 20 seconds or so. The Led's start blinking blue and purple and blink red and then turn off. I think they reset at this moment. Then I put them in their case and when I take them out, they are blue and want to pait. Sound is on both earbuds. Stupid thing: Sometime I have to do this more then one time...🤨 It's a pain in the " you know what" but because of the good sound I still use them. Good luck!

I have a very weird problem. A couple of days ago my left earbud went crazy with the charging. I tried everything I could find and I thought it worked, but now it charges really slow and discharge really fast (especially compared to the right earbud which is working fine) and sometimes still stop charging on its own. Any idea what to do? The model is grind fuel. Thanks in advance

Hey there! It seems like your left earbud may have a battery or connectivity issue. You might want to try resetting your earbuds first. For Skullcandy Grind Fuel, you usually do this by placing them in the case, making sure they're charging, then touch and hold both earbuds for about 10 seconds until they reset. If this doesn't solve the problem, it's possible the earbud battery might be faulty, especially since you're experiencing rapid drain and slow charge. This didn’t work. All of the battery level indicators are always blinking. When I turn off the buds and place them back into the case, then take them out. They never turn on by themselves. If I manually turn them on, the right bud is flashing red and blue, while the left just flashes blue… I hold them close to each other , but the left never pairs. Any ideas?

So i got the mod earbuds and about a week ago the left one stopped turning on when i pull it out of the case the right one works just fine and the case is charged but the left one doesnt turn on and pressing or holding the button doesnt do anything, when i put it back in the case after taking it out itll flash blue a couple times and then turn red for 2 seconds and then turn off again but it doesnt proberly charge it seems

here's a little trick you might wanna try. Sometimes, these earbuds get a bit finicky and need a soft reset. Have you tried giving that a go? Just put them back in the case, make sure they're sitting right, and then leave them alone for a bit. Also, cleaning the contacts gently with a dry cloth can help. Dust can be a sneaky little troublemaker. If that doesn't do the trick, it might be worth checking out Skullcandy's support page. They've got some more steps to try and can help with a replacement if you need one.

I solved this the old school way- 1) take the headphone which is working with the sound far away from your device and non working earbud; 2) connect your device to the problematic earbud and play a song, and you will notice problematic earbud working; 3) leave the music playing on the now working, problematic earbud, and bring in the far away earbud close- VOILA the music will be playing on both earbuds now. 🤝🤝🤝

For me, it is weird. The right bud works fine with sound, buttons, connections, everything. However, all of a sudden, after charging them, the left bud doesn't turn on at all. It reads as fully charged when docked, but as soon as it is taken out of the dock, the blue LED appears for a split second (not even appearing at full brightness) and then seems to turn off. Any input or button press of the left bud does nothing. Any ideas. I got these online a couple of days ago

Maybe try reseting them? Sometimes that fixes these kinda problems. If it still doesn't work, since you got them online just a few days back, you could check for a return or replacement policy.

@@hifiaudios8101 Yeah, unfortunately, the reset didn't work. The left bud, I think, is dead. It didn't recognise any form of button pressing inputs. It also doesn't seem to hold charge. Seems to turn off as soon as it removed from the charging dock. I bought the earbuds with 2 years warrenty. Hopefully, I hear back from them. Thanks for the advise anyway

I just received my skullcandybearbuds in the mail and after charging them for about four hours, the left earbud doesn't seem to turn on at all. It doesn't even have the light on.

Sound in my left one sucks but they both really suck. I work on a construction site. The volume is alot lower than my $20 Walmart ones were and those kept a solid 8hr charge. That's what you get, $69 before tax.

The issue with my left earbud is that whenever i take it out of the case, i have to hold the button down for about three seconds for it to power on. The right earbud powers on by itself.

Oh, I've had a similar issue before! What worked for me was holding down the button like you're doing, but also make sure your earbuds are fully charged. Sometimes, they act weird if they're not charged up all the way. Also, have you tried resetting them? That might help the left one start behaving like the right one.

Oh, I get what you're saying. Sometimes being gentle doesn't cut it. Just be careful not to tap too hard, don't wanna end up breaking it. If giving it a firmer tap doesn't fix the left earbud, might be worth checking out Skullcandy's warranty or support page. Hope it starts working for you!

Finally!! Its working now for the first try .. I was frustrating for months coz my left earbud is not working both are not sync when I pair it to my phone .. Thank you 🤗🤗 ..

If tapping the left earbud didn’t do the trick, you might wanna try resetting them completely. Sometimes, a full reset can kick things back into gear. If that still doesn’t work, it might be a hardware issue. Might be time to check if they’re still under warranty or consider getting in touch with Skullcandy support.

To fix your Skullcandy earbud that's just blinking blue, try resetting the earbuds. Place both earbuds in the charging case, ensure they're charging, then remove them. Press and hold the buttons on both earbuds for 5-10 seconds until the LEDs blink and turn off. Place them back in the case, then remove them, and they should automatically reconnect. If this doesn't work, refer to your user manual for specific reset instructions or contact Skullcandy support.

My left earbud just slowly blinks red every 9-10 seconds and it just wont work? Any ideas anyone who is still here? The brand is Smokin buds and is model S2TAW.

Have you tried resetting them? Sometimes it's just a simple fix like that. Also, make sure they're fully charged. If none of that helps, maybe it’s a warranty issue?

Try resetting your earbuds first. Usually, you need to put them back in the case, take them out, and press some buttons. If that doesn't help, make sure they're both charged and not paired with another device.

Hey! That's super annoying when one earbud connects and the other one just bails, right? 😤 Might be a syncing issue. Try resetting them, usually helps them get back in sync. Aside from the fact that its more like "the most obvious things you absolutely would have already tried before MY clickbaity video title convinced you that i knew the secret but really, instead just gained another view, google find, click and watch, noobs."

** i will say i can appreciate your replies to everyone in the comments, i hope you are legit and thats not autogen'd replies to everyone.. i mean, i didnt read any but i see your 1 reply to every other comment.. but.. listen... understand that while yeah those general steps to do will work for a lot of people who dont know why theres some textbook paper folded up with their new electronics.. so, gg thats an easy +1 for you for each of em... but man.. it kills me to see the ending being all about some "well, if you havent fixed it yet, you aint gonna fix it at all so call in some 3rd party tech support who also has no idea what he's to do, but is paid to use his access to some KB article giving him the 2 steps to fix things.. (if only they did both steps and didnt hfas their 1 job 99% of their visits while calling it "job security") Anyway... if your videos consist of things like this for all the devoces you cover, well, i understand your demographic and will move onto more technical answers from other youtubers.... However... im not at all convinced about this channel considering debris(də-brē) being pronounced phonetically "deb-ris" ...eh... what year is it? And what readerbot did you use, that you should update or replace? If you legit mispronounced and didnt check your upload beforehand, consult any english speaker from elementary school and up for proper pronounciation. Lastly... a Cotton Swab/Q-tip is definitely not a Toothpick... both bad ideas anyway.. 91% pure isopropyl rubbing alcohol + a soft to medium bristle toothbrush will exceed your expectations if the Qooth-pic has been your only go-to. Okay, ive killed enough time typing this, now... onto finding real answersssssss weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Argh, losing the case is the worst! 😬 Skullcandy's can be tricky. Have you try to reset or clean them? If that don’t help, maybe Skullcandy support can give some advice. Good luck getting them to work, or finding your AirPods case!
