Happy new year 2022, kaiju fans! Sorry for the reupload, we had to because of minor issues. (The stat conversions were wrong at the beginning.) New video has closed captions so enjoy those. More MonsterVerse profiles coming this month.
The skull crawlers are the most interesting antagonist kaiju/Titan in the Monsterverse and the MV lore. I would love to see the skull crawlers again in a future monsterverse film post GvK because I really like their design, their unusual body structure and their ruthless behavior to devour anything in site to please their endless hunger. I had little knowledge about skull Crawler creation during Kong skull islands production in the concept art phase until know. The one KSI concept art for the skull crawlers I really like is a creature wearing a skull of a kong, that sounds look for a King Kong opponent. Due note: For the skull crawlers appearances in video games, The skull Crawler appear in the mobile app game Go Big with Godzilla, Kong, and Mechagodzilla as playable character, but not skull Crawler. The skull crawlers in Go Big are NPC to kill around the map before the timer stops. Go Big has the Skull devil as a boss in the Hong Kong aftermath, but the new map is unplayable because it crashes the game when playing on the new map.
Drat, I wish we'd known about the Go Big! appearance before now - but I thank you for mentioning it. Do you have a link to some gameplay involving the Crawlers?
@@SuperGodzillaGaming here's a cool idea for the next Godzilla movie about the return of destroyer you know oxygen Destroyer and king of the monsters so who's not going to say say destroyer coming back
In my view on the Skullcrawlers are the beasts of the both famine and gluttony. And there's another species of lizard that has no hind legs is the Mexican Mole Lizard (Bipes biporus). Also commonly known as the Five-toed Worm Lizard that digs underground with a worm-like appearance and it too has no hind legs too.
It’s good to see Wikizilla back to uploading videos after a long hiatus. The Skull Crawlers are a great addition to both the King Kong franchise and the MonsterVerse, I love their ravenous, reptilian nature and the fact that the filmmakers took influence from the two legged lizard of the 1933 King Kong was a nice touch, making it refreshing to see King Kong have a different kind of enemy that isn’t just another T. Rex. (Reposting this comment from the other video)
Great return to the Kaiju Profile and good way to start off Monsterverse Month. I forget that the big holes in there faces aren’t their eyes and it angers me every time I remember
These beasts are something else, there probably one of the most interesting creatures in the MV, in terms of design, plot, appearance, and so forth, these creatures literally use everything in there corporal built as there weapon, hyper-tensile tongue, a long slim tail for knocking over they’re target, and for wrapping around there “4” eyes as a display that will trick other predators, it’s 2 legs to leap and jump on prey, there most important feature, there skull.. a living club I’d say. Bashing pure bones, and jeez, don’t even get me started on the mouth, it’s literally indistinguishable with how chaotic it is.. these creature took creative minds, and I feel are a way more interesting take on a predator that challenged kong! I myself would hope to see these mythical 2 legged beasts in a future MV film; anyways happy NY wikizilla! And I can’t wait for what’s next for MV Month
As much as I'm intrigued to hear about the Skullcrawlers, your new logo is real sick! Also, 2024? It's 2022! You mean to tell me that Godzilla VS Kong takes place two years from now?
Yep, though indirectly. ("You see, 10 years ago, when Gojira was first revealed to the world, I had a dream.") Going off the novelization, it was originally supposed to take place in 2022.
The When they released the toy for the Red Skullcrawler, I was really hoping it would be in the move for more than ten seconds. Granted, that was a nice execution, but still. Post-Skull Island, the Skullcrawlers seem a bit wasted. They've got great potential. (then again so do most of the Monsterverse originals and they haven't even gotten figures yet...) Great video, happy New Year, and I can't wait for more!
i have always wondered how girl hits the eye of skull crawler from meters away without a scope on the gun and the target was moving the whole time... you got to be so precise
This is once again an amazing video Wikizilla you have done it again. At presenting another Kaiju within the Godzilla franchise, to the new and older audiences and exploring their origins, history, and reasons. For being in the film I hope that in the future if there are more Monsterverse. Flims we get to see more of these Crawling beasts!
I would love a video on the designs for Skull Island or on the other Skull Island creatures in general, but I’m pretty sure you have other plans, happy New Years Wikizilla!
Alright i guess i'll recomment :/ Finally a new Kaiju Profile! I've been waiting! Also could you guys perhaps do a Kaiju Profile on Desghidorah/ Death Ghidorah from the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy from the 90s? I figured you guys like to do Kaiju Profiles on obscure kaiju so you might want to take a look at him :)
I really like the skull crawlers they're my favorite things in the monsterverse Yeah there's a lot influenced to a courage I believe they were having inspired by that 2 legged lizard from the 1933 King Kong
OOP: REDO COMMENT: What wretchedly lovely denizens of skull island. Basing them of those pit reptiles was an inspired choice! Though the skull crawlers lack any sort of grandiose abilities they have a lot of tenacity and personality that makes them Iconic in my opinion! I remember one of the creators in the art book speculated they moves far more gracefully underground than they do on land. Whuch makes me wanna see them fight other underground creatures like baragon or gorosaurus!
Welcome back, Wikizilla (😃)! While I may have had some initial reservations about the Skullcrawlers in the beginning (prior to "Kong: Skull Island's" release), they've since proven themselves to be MAJOR forces to be reckoned with despite not having any powers or abilities. Sometimes, a beast's powerful weaponry can boil down to strong jaws, sharp teeth, razor-like claws...animalistic physical attributes like that (which is what I like the Skullcrawlers for).
Carrying over my comment from the preview: " love how the two legged lizard from the original kong had an upgrade to main villain status, also happy New year"
I gave you the 1000th like! Your Welcome Wikizilla! Love the videos and keep it up. Plz make another Monsterverse Godzilla Kaiju Profile! Plus I subscribed to you!
Skull crawlers are so interesting. It is cool to hear when king gidorah ( I am pretty sure I spelled it wrong) did his alpha call it make the skull crawlers a bit crazy.👍
Hey guys I just want to let y'all know that when y'all do the 2021 mechagodzilla video, please add in that the man that designed the beast was going to let him have drones but they didn't make the cut
Maybe in a month or two can u make a thermo godzilla profile, its ok if no or its too much pressure because i would rather have the godzilla jr profile wich is confirmed
Imagine if Apex mix skullcrawler DNA and Ghidorah’s DNA to make monster X (so he can turn into Keizer Ghidorah like in Godzilla final wars) so the skullcrawlers can have a new leader.
Juvenile skull crawlers have backwards facing serrated teeth making them more dangerous for humans since they can chew or slice them while adult skull crawlers can easily swallow a human
Complementing Trivia: *The opening credits of GvK plagiarize a piece of Skullcrawler fanart by Deviantart user Ramul (4:49). *The Skullcrawlers are also present on the mobile game "Go Big!" where you need to hit them to own points (I wish they were playable, they also look kinda cute).
