With a sigh, the Traveler laid down her travel pack for a bit of rest. It wasn't easy keeping up a levitation spell, much less doing so while carrying nearly twice her weight in supplies. “I should have gotten that ‘Bag of Holding’” she mumbled to herself. As she looked out across the sea of clouds, she could see the many islands drifting in the wind a ways away. “Only a few minutes away and I’m almost there.” she thought to herself. “Not long now before I reach the town.” It was a mystery how their world came to be. Massive Islands sailing in the breeze, Rivers flowing in the sky, winds too predictable they may be used to traverse. But that is what made it all so wonderful. Soon, she would join the prestigious Researcher’s guild. Soon she would join the many men and women from around the country to find those mysteries and finally have some answers. Soon, her Journey will truly begin. “Ha! I can’t wait.” the Traveler exclaimed. “Look out Pandora, because I won’t stop till I know everything about you!” And with that, she took up her pack, willed her spell into existence once more, and took off. With the wind in her hair and the sun in her back, she forged on.

It’s probably best that we weren’t born into those kinds of worlds. Then we would just see it as normal everyday life and nothing special, just as we do in the universe we actually live in. The whole appeal to fictional stories, especially those in fantasy and sci-fi genres, is that they take place in a different world, and also that they are stories. In stories, we have plot structure, epic music soundtracks, cinematic shots, and compellingly crafted characters. In real life, it won’t be like that. There won’t be any structured storyline in your life the same way that there is in stories, there won’t be cool music playing in the background, and there won’t be perfectly timed movie scenes to marvel at. Life will have the same ups and downs. So the fact that we don’t live in these worlds actually makes them better and more fascinating. Also, a lot of fantasy/sci-fi worlds would actually be chaos if they were real instead of in a controlled story environment. Besides, the fact that such fictional worlds were created at all is something that is worth appreciation on its own!

She takes a deep and long breath, taking it all in, the shocking yet beautiful scene in front of her. she puts aside her travelling bag with all of its weight and stares into the endless sea of clouds, the islands floating, drifting, swimming in that endless sea It’s really a shame that all this awe is completely overshadowed by her Unyielding rage. I can’t find words to describe it really, the anger boiling inside her, the disappointment, or maybe it's just her phobia of heights, probably all of them…this was supposed to be a romantic date. At least that’s what she thought... he was busy, always busy. They couldn’t even see each other for months. and then when they finally got to see each other. he decided to surprise her and take her to a lovely place, that’s how he described it at least. “instead of going to a normal, peaceful quite place, that jerk takes me here! It’S mA sPeCial pLacE ” she says in a rough sarcastic voice with every ounce of her screaming and face palming with disappointment. “what’s this place supposed to be anyway? what kind of sorcery is this?” she said while raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms “if the circumstances were different, I’d have totally admired this place but what can I say? he sure knows what he is doing…” she mumbled to herself. one more time she stares at the clouds. “Yup, am breaking up with him”
