they really did a phenomenal job recreating it ngl

It’s crazy how you can recreate these things ingame so easily, the game is gorgeous, and the animation is beautiful

It makes an amazing game trailer but I personally like Sadist's animation better, just because animation is a more flexible tool for these kinds of things than what Sky can do in-game. I also think that Sadist's animation is more subtle in movement and I like that better.

i have watched them separately before and didnt cry, but seeing them put together made me tear up

Both are really good, it gave me chills after that sea monster one

i love the remake but the sadist version just feels more alive you know? and the part where the one gets hit by the rock in eden is genuinely scary looking in the original one

Both are amazing! Some parts are better animated (character expressions), and others are better rendered ingame (scenery), so I can't say which I like more.

Touching the cosmic manta on the way to the Vault Summit was such a great addition on Sadist's part.

Finally a good live action of the anime

They're both so well made, it's incredible. For me, the music is a bit too dark and gloomy for the default vibe of the game, and it does capitalize on the darker 20% of it. They're still amazing though, kudos to everyone involved in both productions, it really helped to get the word off Sky out there as well.

SAD-ist made one of the few animations/animatics that i feel does sky justice. their animations have always been on point

the way tgc rendered the death, how i have not once seen those death animations

Seeing side by side gives me an impression of storyboarding vs the final product. But here, SAD-ist did the storyboard for a trailer to what looks like a full fledged movie

I still like sadist's animation a lot better, but... it's cool how they managed to recreate it so well

Sad-Ist is mostly known for her Dream Smp animations, but I was so happy to see her do Sky!

Both videos are good, but only the clip didn't have that smooth transition like Sadist at 1:47. Also, the krill attack is somehow not very good and the moment with the little prince is due to the fact that there is no prince himself, as well as other moments. But I think animation and clip are different things. The clip is how it would look in the game, and the animation is an artist's view, so they may differ slightly. So both videos are very beautiful, but personally I like it more from Sadist (this is just my opinion and everyone has it different).🥰

i think tgc tried too hard to match it shot by shot, it lost a bit of the storytelling since the animation coveys the story in a different way than can be shown through actual gameplay
