Modern Australia is only 235 years old. We can't rewrite that history, it happened! Nor should we, in 2023, be held accountable for something we had no control over. Australia is probably the most successful multicultural country in the world. The voice and all that follows with treaty, reparations, truth etc will rip our country apart. Many of my ancestors came to Australia as convicts, others came in search of a better life as free settlers. Regardless of their initial circumstances, their descendants have worked hard for this land, some have answered their country's call and volunteered to defend Australia, fighting in two world wars, one being awarded the VC, some paying the ultimate sacrifice. Others worked to feed our country. They all did their bit in building our country based on the principle of everyone having equality. The voice will shatter that principle.

Well I just read through it plus the records of meetings. 126 pages in total. In that document is some of the most extremist, hateful and racist rhetoric I have read from a group of people. They speak of makarrata but it seems more like they only want it their way which is for indigenous Australians to be the sovereign people owning all of Australia with legal immunity, royal privileges and buckets of cash thrown at them ongoing. There appeared to be a number of different suggestions to take steps to get what, they ultimately went with the voice, treaty and truth telling being the most palatable. There are even what appeared to block diagrams stepping out future actions with the Voice being one of them. At this point we are up to the "National Campaign" before the referendum according to road map 1. There are two more road maps and the third details a makarrata commission that will act as an umpire between the first nations voice or first nations and the government. The UN's UNDRIP get's a mention also. Albo should be ashamed of himself. This is terrible. If the referendum succeeds and all of what I read comes to fruition 26 million Australians will not be able to call Australia home. They will be living here paying the rent and will never be truly Australian and free.

I am a white Australian, I have spent a considerable amount of time working for an Indigenous Organisation educating young indigenous students from all around our country. I have been able to save lives through my efforts, literally save lives. I have worked in horrible conditions, been threatened had my personal belongings destroyed and been treated as a second class citizen, we even had the CEO of the organisation tell a very full NAIDOC crowd that his intentions were to sack all white people and employ only indigenous. I do not have a racist bone in my body. I am definitely voting NO. I am not to blame for any past claimed injustices and am NOT prepared to "pay" for any of these claims. All the voice will do is to make us pay a percentage of our GDP to all Indigenous Australians, which in turn will make a very small amount very very rich. This will do absolutely nothing to 'close the gap'. Indigenous Australians have every ability already provided to them to help them close the gap, but, and it's a Kim Kardashian sized Butt, the indigenous peoples need to WORK at 'closing the gap' it cannot be done for them by holding their hand, they have to want it... This is clearly evident to anybody who takes a look. We already have some very successful indigenous peoples whom have not been 'held back' in any way, but promoted and supported. I am heartened to see that a number of my fellow Aussies have been doing some research on the origins of these so called indigenous grifters, it is an immutable fact that these clans and tribes came across a land bridge in waves.
