Honestly, if it didn’t have all the fidget stuff on it, and it didn’t look so awful I’d probably be interested. And the lights are cool, but the fidget stuff just doesn’t do it for me.
That's a busy, busy, BUSY light... since LEP's aren't spec-monsters, I'm actually fairly impressed with the performance even at 400 lumens. The focus seems pretty well done and adds a dash of utility. Between the fidget stuff and the disco aux modes, there's literally something for everyone... Not for me, but I appreciate the efforts. Excellent case for the drone video, too!
So with the LED head on, its basically a very expensive Wurkkos TS11 with the RGB lights on the switch and out of the head, and ridiculous fidgets stuck on it? 😂 these things are so over-rated. Good review my friend. The light, not so much though.
@cheule it would be awesome if you're into that sort of thing for sure, though! I'm not coordinated enough or bored enough, I guess 🤣 I'm not sure which one!
I have loved the practical use of the focusable LEP format since I got my Amutorch BT55 so I was initially thrilled when I first heard of the Loop. The little kid inside awed by the design aesthetics and fun aux LEDs. Then I was crushed by a dismal review by 1Lumen when its tested performance was really lacking. IMHO the 18350 is inadequate for performance and runtime, it needs an 18650. Bottom line is the Loop is an extremely cool looking, very expensive fun toy. Not a serious tool. I had to force myself to say NO, leave it on a permanent wishlist. Excellent reviews, BTW!
Since gritting my teeth saying NO to the Loop, instead I bought the new Acebeam M1 Terminator dual focusable LEP / Quad 5000K Nichia 519A powered by 5100mAh 21700 for a discounted price of $240. I'd love a review on that. Keep up the great work!
@@cheule I've had mine for about 10 days now and am very happy with it. I'm a huge fan of your content and would lend you mine for review, but there's no way I could part with it since it's been in constant use since I got it. Rarely a light exceeds my expectations and I'm really enjoying it. The focusable LEP performance really impressed me for its compact size with generous runtime and 700 lumen turbo output. The 5000K 519A triple is sublime high CRI flood: it's an E70mini Siamese-twinned to the compact LEP. What surprised me is its substantial heft: 11 oz/305g . It feels like a full copper body light and exudes a strong "built like a tank" vibe. I'm thinking some generous thermal mass at work. Overall build quality is excellent with really nice aesthetics. It even comes in a little foam lined Pelican style plastic case instead of a box. I really appreciate your review and modding tip content. Keep up the excellent work. Cheers!
For those interested, Skylumen is selling BOTH LEP and LED heads with the dark grey aluminum body for a promo price of $280. That's $300 cheaper than the titanium version LEP only.
This light's design has so much going on. It definitely stands out but I'm not sure it's a great EDC because of that. Love the synced aerial beamshots you've started to do!
I'm always leery of batteries with USB charging and protection circuits built in. But one that trips by just dropping the cell on the table... yikes! Beware many cells get really hot around the charging circuit during a charge. Apparently it's normal but it makes me very leery. I always use a dedicated charger, period. Liion safety first.
I don't particularly care about the fidgety thing since for lighting is my main priority, but when I saw the beamshots from the LEP, wow, I liked it very much. I think this is the first LEP that picked my interest.
If William Blake's quote "The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom" is true then well this light is an automatic bachelor’s degree in AWESOMENESS! Love the light but would never come out of pocket for it.. Maybe if I wasn’t married with 3 kids and what I guess could pass for a dog to take care of I might consider it. 🐶 👦🏻 👧 + $$$ = no 💡 Keep the vids coming C-dog! 👍
I got the raw titanium one ,well cool light but agree power isn't impressive like my acrbeam 75 ,but cool factor is 👌 Can you buy the LED head seperate 🤔
