Absolutely amazing! The Skydio 2 is definitely the drone I would I like to get next. I like my Mavic Pro, but the Skydio 2 technology is just so much better.
Great video! It really shows the confidence this drone gives pilots. It would be very dangerous or impossible to retrieve in a place like that. But if it won’t crash you don’t have to worry.
Never say "never". I own a Skydio 2 and fly it a lot but it can and will crash but mostly rarely. It cannot see small branches or it can get confused by reflections and water and such, or simple mechanical failure. Still an excellent machine but nothing is perfect.
Absolutely true. But I am hoping that on the next firmware rev. they will make is so smooth when avoiding objects that it will look seamless and you won't notice the AI trying to pause and think while it is navigating that enclosed path.
No one has bothered to film with HDR off but I've noticed real-life is a lot brighter. I'm going to compare HDR on and off as well as H.264 and H.265 to really know.
Yeah all those guys were right you can't get any kind of cinematic shots with the Skydio. It is only a flying GoPro for action shots. (Disclaimer: that was meant ironically)
Eric Crawford I totally agree Eric, I think this camera with it’s color and dynamic range, coupled with the obstacle avoidance is more than enough to get great cinematic shots in the right hands as this video proves...
I’m jealous right now. That was an awesome example of what to expect from Skydio 2 when I fly mind . I can’t wait. Batch 3 is where I am. But hey.. that’s near summer time . I’ll be a good boy and wait. Until then I’ll fly my Mavic 2! Just as awesome but probably better. We shall see...👍🏽
Yankee de Dandy I’ve flown my Mavic through the mists of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe without issue. The mist is so thick there, the locals call it “the Smoke that thunders” because it forms a thick cloud. This should be no issue for a Mavic.
nice video. but what i seeing is some group of total noobs try to go to mountains without proper gear, helmets, jumping on melting glaciers (big non-no)etc.
