An outdoor lover's guide to Skye! We hope you enjoy this journey around Skye with us, following our 2 week trip packed with hikes, wild camps, bothy stays, beaches, weird and wonderful rock formations, waterfalls (or water-ups as they seem to be in windy Skye 😅) and more. If you want to know more about the places featured in this film, we've written an accompanying guide over on our blog - www.goingthewholehogg.com/skye-wild-camping-hiking-routes-and-bothies/ - and also created an interactive map showing all the hiking routes, camp spots, bothies, and practical info like toilets and shops - bit.ly/SkyeE-Map Thanks for watching! Absolutely stunning. What an incredible part of the world. Thank you for sharing it with us. Every so often I find a reason to fire up the RU-vid app on my 4K TV.... and this video was one of them.
That’s so good to hear, thanks very much. Love that thought of people enjoying this on their big TVs. Thanks for watching and for leaving such a great comment 😃
A lovely video, I have stayed on skye a few years age and did the trip from Elgol into the loch you looked down on. Walked all the way round it as well, back in the days I was young enough to do so. Will be up in the Cairngorms this June, Can't wait. Do a few low level walks in the Glens and around the area.
Amazing video, one of the best on youtube probably about Skye. Cannot wait to go and hike the whole lenght myself probably next year :) Best Scottish island.
New subscriber here😊👋. Must say Kim looks like a very competitive individual. Bet she's great at chess formidable at monopoly. And, a terrible loser 😆. 👍🏼🙏
Ha! Well, I've never played chess, I've been banned from monopoly because of said competitiveness, and yes I am a bit of a sore loser (but feed me some cheese and I'll forget all about it) 😅
This film is jaw droppingly wonderful. Everything I already love about your films and more. As ever, immerses the viewer in the location - in this case Skye and its majesty and delicacy. Furthermore, the artistry is beautiful and strong, building as the film progresses. And there are flickers of storytelling in amongst the ambience that I love. Stunning! thank you Kim and Del :)
Thank you, Elisabeth! We loved this trip, and it was great to relive it all over again while making this film to share the majesty of Skye with you. Thanks for your thoughtful comment and your support of our work! Hope you have a great week, Kim & Del : )
Beautiful as always, but this video was especially welcome as I'll be visiting Skye for the first time this coming October. I was pleasantly surprised that you had as many decent weather days as you did, since October is notoriously rainy. Fingers crossed for similar luck this year!
