You had better light at both locations than I did in March Karl. but Skye is so beautiful you can still get lovely images. I think the 'trick' with Skye is to not try to cover everything....pick some areas and concentrate on them and pick other areas on another visit. Hope you had a great Christmas.
Cracking video Karl, one of my fave places too. Hopefully getting there again soon. Love the geo info, thank you. Well, what a lucky man with the light, omg !! You cant get enough of that..... Alioban
Hi Karl after commenting on a previous Video Top 5 locations in Glen Etive I mentioned that I've got a week's holiday booked for the Isle of Skye at the end of March and wondered if you'd done any vlogs there I found them and had actually already watched Ep 1 previously. I can't wait to visit as I've never photographed the island before and as we're staying 20 mins away from Neist Point Lighthouse I'm sure I'll be spending many evenings down there hoping to capture a decent sunset and at the end of March should be favourable (hopefully not too early)
I have only been to the Quirang once, well i say i have been. But when i got there the car par was rammed, all the passing places had cars in them, there were even cars parked by that final bend on the road before the car park.
Karl. Thanks again. Another great video. And thank you for info on Glencoe spots. Before I get to glencoe in a couple of weeks time I’m also doing IOS and have scoped out both Engol and Fairy Pools and the Quirang. Your spot at Quirang looked great. What direction from the car park was that .. ??? Thanks in advance. Mel
great shots great viud , we going up to sky n harris in easter ,wondering where best place to catch northern lights are in this area or best place in scotland ,
If there is solar activity anywhere in Scotland are getting northern lights. A bit if open space looking north ish will do. We have had some good activity the last couple of weeks. Download aurora watch app to see when there is activity. Thanks for watching. Enjoy Skye and Harris.
