Same for me. Our ancestry on both sides of the family go back through the 1000s in Great Britain and Ireland. I can only dream of seeing what I read about and see through the kindnesses of others eyes and their willingness to share with the rest of us.
What a lovely time! You have the wonderful highland gift of storytelling. Thank you so much. I’ll not see my ancestral homelands, except through others who share. God bless you, lad!
Brill video, Andy. Skye is the ancestral home of my Love family of the Clan MacKinnon, which I was finally able to visit the first time in September 2015. Skye, as well as all of Scotland, is such a magical place. Slàinte 🏴
Andy, This is the best video I've seen on the Isle of Skye, especially the informative voice-over. Really well scripted. A professional production and not just the usual vision with music.
We were there in July 2016. The most beautiful and magical place on Earth! Don't miss it. Thank you so much for the video. It lets me relive the wonderful memories!
hi Andy! Thank you for introducing us to these magical spots. the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. you are so lucky to live in this part of the world. Please keep sharing these spectacular videos.
Lovely video Andy, the Isle of Skye has to be one of the most beautiful places in the World, Scottish peoples are so lucky to have this beautiful place right on there doorstep
I came looking for some wind samples for a Scottish flavoured music project but was blown away by the excellent narrative. It went so well with the footage. it was a real pleasure to watch this one. thanks Andy
Lovely video, Andy. Our first trip to Scotland will be Autumn 2018 - Skye is a focal point for us. This is really descriptive and gives us much to add to the itinerary. Thanks very much!
Beautiful place was here in 2013 and also a great little video hoping to visit here again this year on the way back down from Inverness and Scotland 500 which we shall be doing next week.
Excellent video Andy - I enjoyed and can‘t await being on Skye again. The wonderful path you showed in the beginning of the video is this the Scorrybreac Circuit? I‘d like to walk it.
No, the other side of Portree harbour - that path starts from Bank Street, around the side of the church above Quay Street around the Lump to Bayfield Road - you can then return by one or two ways - I generally head up to the lump for good views west - a very nice short walk indeed
I used to live in Skye and know these places very well. One slight criticism is that it was disjointed and a bit misleading. It looks like some of these places are next door to each other but they are separated by many miles. Make the videos longer and more flowing. 10 minutes is not long enough to do justice to Skye. 😊👍🏼
Sky is beautifull, I was there in 2019. The video is well made, but I miss some more info about the living, and por exemple you told you hat your diner there and it disapoints me that you didn,t show the restaurant and the view from it. That makes this video realy Man made. Inspide of its beauty is it a bit empty. Needs a womans touch also!
