I've seen every single Bond film, and this is the best one in my opinion. It has everything I like in it, and it goes so high without going over the top.
@@big_lolo_01 Definitely underrated movie. All the bond films are at least decent, but man just everything about Skyfall did it for me. Not only just the plot, but I loved the visual aesthetic to it so much too. I loved how clean and minimal the entire experience was.
In the script it doesn't mention music. It just mentions a large helicopter, so I suppose the director didn't think a trivial helicopter warranted such a nod of surprise from Bond ("always got to make an entrance") who's seen everything. My guess is he added the music afterwards and made the most badass moment of all time.
@@YoungbloodThe3rd Two songs I’d blast in battle are Dare, and for extra hope and motivation, The Touch, both by Stan Bush used in the 86 Transformers movie.
Now this is a confident way of telling your enemy: "I am this close of finally getting rid of you so might as well play my favorite song to hype up the celebration afterwards"
the shot at 1:26 with the loud noise of the helicopter and the music being played and it passing by slowly after gunning down some of the windows of the house is so badass
The "Shake it Baby!" bit of the music from The Animals was 100% deliberately edited when the copter started firing as Bond ran. Why the editor of this film didn't win an Oscar for that moment is beyond me. That was perfect timing.
I remember being like 13 watching this in cinema, as soon as you heard the music there was this collective groan of dread in the cinema, the eeriness of the moors with the light fading and all in contrast to the music blaring was pretty horrifying
If that was Ernst Starvo Blofield in that helicopter he'd be playing Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner while firing a Rocket Launcher and a Minigun.
Two things. 1, why didn't they lead with the helicopter during the house raid? 2, why doesn't that chopper have a rocket barrage system setup? Just a MG for the side gunners, no pilot controlled weaponry?
Because they had no idea what gear was in the house, they didn’t expect such fierce resistance and a browning HMG is one thing but a rocket barrage is another, you can’t just lock, load and rock & roll with a missile barrage, there’s all manner of checks, double checks and calibrations that go into making it operational
Because a eh101 Merlin isn’t a gunship it’s a troop transport helicopter which has a 50 cal on the front door the dude door sometimes and a 50 cal machine gun on the ramp
@@callumblack1553 The AW101 Merlin featured in the film is actually multi role. From troop transport, anti submarine warfare, search and rescue and more recently Airborne early warning (crowsnest) The helicopters manufactured at the Agusta westland site in Yeovil (Now since taken over by Italian company leonardo's) are typically multi variant often due to the demands of whichever military is buying it. Feasibly they could fit an outboard carrier for rockets of some description as development is part of the equation there. Question is why would they want to and the answer is they wouldn't as most militaries have smaller rotary wing platforms to do that such as the AW159 Wildcat which also features in the film.
Well you're talking about a bad man with an obsession with revenge on a person who made him style is everything with those guys sending a message about why they are coming is their manifesto
Only younger people think Fortunate Son was the Nam theme song. Most vets will tell you it was 'We Gotta get out of this Place'...by the Animals (the band playing this.)
What the hell are you talking about this is arguably one of the smartest Bond villains that he's had to face at this time I mean obviously it all goes to the man that orchestrated all of this behind the scenes but yeah other than the infamous Blofield Silva was the closest villain to defeat him because he's one of the bond villains that actually sent out and achieved what he went for and won he just didn't get a chance to see that but at the end of the day I don't think he intended to so only adding to his win
