Along the Waves The day will come When I wake up This dream feels eternal But everything has its end Flow along the waves of life Searching for a haven in the night Don't fall into the dark waters Save yourself While winds remain calm Fear the beast that lurks in the depths The sea that brings serenity To your wounded soul Can also become your grave If you go too far Flow along the waves In the night you'll find the answer The warmth of faint aura from the shore Can be felt in the dark Flow along the waves Search for a haven A new day will come Just hang on
The Night Is No More Silence and coldness return Numbing me down Soaring embers glow in the air Fire goes out as I watch the morning dawn I turn my gaze up to the sky The silence remains I hear the sky's melodies As soon as I see the first ray of the sun Approaching light broke the horizon I watch the sky turn blue And when the mind clears from the thoughts The silence fades And I breathe just to feel alive The darkness retreats into the shadows Where it has always belonged Nature comes back to life And so does my soul As the world unfolds from the dark Shaking off yesterday's despair Scattered light shines through the branches The darkness fled and the night is no more Silence and coldness return Numbing me down Soaring embers glow in the air Fire goes out as I watch the morning dawn I turn my gaze up to the sky The silence remains I hear the sky's melodies As soon as I see the first ray of the sun Approaching light broke the horizon I watch the sky turn blue And when the mind clears from the thoughts The silence fades And I breathe just to feel alive The darkness retreats into the shadows Where it has always belonged Nature comes back to life And so does my soul As the world unfolds from the dark Shaking off yesterday's despair Scattered light shines through the branches The darkness fled and the night is no more
Heart of the Forest And when I reached the gates Made of green-covered branches I felt an unusual sensation A call from afar I knew that something awaits In the depths of the forest Something that radiates the aura That brings my memories to life I've been in this place before The sacred temple A heaven dressed in shades of green Right before my eyes A place long-forgotten Where all begins and ends In the heart of the forest I've found a place for my soul to rest
Rebirth I came back to a withered meadow Of all the events of a life I came back just to see How it will bloom again As the rising sun unfolds the Earth Covered in snow With the first blooming flower Everything sets in motion Everything begins to whisper Awakened by a calm breeze As the rising sun unfolds the Earth Covered in snow A beautiful moment of rebirth Causes time to flow The everlasting cycle of life Always gives and takes But in the end it will make things right Rebirth of the everlasting cycle of life
Wanderer A journey without an end Following a dim spark of hope While his spirit still lingers He goes along with the wind As he wanders the Earth Sailing across the sky An infinite search for the truth Which man craves to find Years and years of longing Of finding a safer place He felt that something was calling Through mountains, forests and seas He walked a thousand miles To find a safer place Where all sets in order And one will be blessed with grace As soon as he reached the top The winds became silent The echo of his heartbeat Could be heard in the mountains As soon as the sun came up on the horizon The tears fell down from the wanderer's eyes As he realized with grief That he is all alone in this world
Scattered Ashes The great ascension from the darkness The time will pay the price And it took so much just to see a glimpse of light Without a sign you found your way forward Scatter the ashes of life Just to see it gone It will take some time To rise again like a phoenix The ending of a season Just another chapter of life And as the time goes on Your soul will bloom again Scatter the ashes of life Just to see it gone It will take some time To rise again like a phoenix
nice. Very nice balancing of hardcore metal moments, atmospheric dungeon synth/medieval ambient type breakdowns, neofolk acoustic sections and sung/screamed vocals.
i finally got my cd thanks covid i had to wait forever but still worth every penny without black metal promotion would have never found this master peace
Agreed. In particular I love the clean vocals, and funnily enough, I happen to know the guy that does them by random chance. I went to go look at the people in the band one day, and lo and behold, there's Michael Rumple, the dude that's in every other atmo-black band these days, lol.
@@EscapingAgharthabandofficial well i can see why he would be, he's doing an amazing job! Another band i know him from is 'Eintritt' where he sings in German and as a german i have to say that he did pretty well haha.
I just came across this album today for the very first time. I have to be honest, it made me cry. Such a beautiful peace of work. I don’t think I’ve ever been made to feel the way this album made me feel today. Thank you so much for this masterpiece. I don’t know the name of the dude who wrote this album but I hope he gets some shirts made up soon.
Sounds like inner freedom which is something I have not reached yet nor will ever until I am gone from this wretched plane. Good times and good music. Hail from limbo. The image reminds me of a concept I had of a corpse with robes nailed into the rock overlooking a nice view like a monk in meditation
@@felipea4940 I listen to a lot of post metal and atmospheric black metal and I feel like Skyforest really takes it to the next level, on the same tier as Elderwind, Sadness, and Lustre. Perhaps it's common, but it's not common that's it's done so well...in my opinion.
@@felipea4940 That project has never really done much for me, and I don't know why. I DID however check out Spectral Lore recently, because of their split, and holeefook, THAT is a one man project! The emotion and driving passion present is mindblowing. Oh, and I forgot to mention Agalloch in the list of bands with the kind of emotion I'm talking about, but at this point they're a given, lol.
Brooo I did not expect that to get mentioned here of all places. I'm only getting into black metal now but Ashbury's been with me for awhile. sorry for necroing a year old youtube comment but damn this made me happy
I like how this band in particular is deeply emotional but still manages to retain the darkness and brutality of black metal. For example, Alcest has strong emotions but it loses me because it doesn't have a brutal side, it's all soft and nice.
