I've already considered the possibility of SC potentially doing more damage, but the fact is that for the most part you cannot rely on pinning yourself down as the most mobile class in the game. I doubt PVE raid content will allow for it anyways. You might argue that just swinging for a second will still give you that stack of SC but it's still a lot of damage lost when BH allows you to spend your dexterity on more backstabs and mines if necessary (Given the encounter), ultimately allowing you to sustain more dps while ensuring maximum output where mechanics put you at a disadvantage. I am not discrediting your guide, in fact the numbers are very impressive and hey -- If I found out that more encounters allow pinning myself down to deal that kind of damage i will definitely reconsider.
Steve Pintimalli yeah, we'd have to see what kind of mechanics are being thrown out there in raids. as it sits for adventures and 5 mans though, i've had no problems yet. thanks for the write up.
nice vid. i was looking for an alternative to blood harvest, im a new slayer and im just trying out different stuffs and see what works for me. right now my stats arent that high to make good use of this build, plus i get destroyed in melee range xD, will definitely give it a try later on maybe at 20k prestige (10k atm) however i have a suggestion, wouldnt it be better to left click the boss 3 times at the beginning of the fight before using ur first backstab, just to activate impulse and get the extra damage from kinetic symbol? after that, backstab twice then shadow cloak and the first left click will also have the increased damage from kinetic symbol. just an idea xD edit: oh also forgot to mention archer symbol...doesnt matter with the rotation i guess since its always active, but that can also increase the damage from backstab and twilight scourge ;3
i was just watching some other opinions on slayer, i hit 81k pres in around 230 hours and am now deep in slayer pvp and i think this build is not practical because: 1: swinging chains is too static, u need to be dynamic and need ur stamina a lot so the upgrade for harvest is also way better overall 2:complete cloaking makes u so much more durable and, leading to 3: twilight scourche rarely hits at all and if it does its 1, max 2 hits if ur lucky vs a bad opponent 4:shacles are sooooo good in pvp its a not wurf considering anything else, its impractical, in pve bait is good, situationally though 5: mines are nice and all but ur most burst damage is going on squishy dps classes in the enemy team and mines are not good for that, they are crowd control by saying here, heres much total damage swinging chains might be good for that, but thats an illusion because it has a cooldown, cast time which can be cancelled but u wont deal the total dmg of bloodharvest with 2x reprocc, never ever will you, its upgrade doesnt change that overall...i wouldnt even test this in pvp myself cause in theory i can already tell its hardly practical and i wouldnt even for pve ur thoughts are nice, but...well...the builds are impractical ur still, or at least at this time u were still in the lower end of prestige and the according maps/instances so this build mightve worked well, but at least once ur 30k+ u will prolly see urself that this build has it huge problems compared to the alternatives greetings : )
Stigma is PVP only talent, it's not working in PVE making swinging chains useless skill, and in PVP nobody will stand in one place and let you spam it. Blood harvest is still most op must have skill for slayer imo!
+Techies888 I found that when stigma is working, it shows up as a debuff on the target, which only happens in pvp. I'll be revisiting this game later possibly after this Diablo season to see if they polish stuff up like this, because theres no reason a talent should be pvp or pve only, especially if its not specified.
