Been listening to Skylar Spence / Saint Pepsi ever since 2015, and ever since I found out about his music, I've started appreciating the samples he used and overall appreciated music in general. You see, back then, I wasn't too huge on music, and I never really thought music would help me out during all of these hard times I was dealing with. But, Skylar Spence changed all of that, something about his music just made me go forward. Even when everything in my life was a giantic mess, his music still kept me going. This might sound weird but, his music just made those bad memories into good ones, and you know what? Thats all I really needed tbh. Its 2020 now, and won't lie, everything is starting to look bleek again. I'm sure a lot of people think the same too. However, we all shouldn't forever stay hopeless. If there's one thing that his music showed me, it would be that we need to get creative again. Because one day, our creative pieces will help others, and it will inspire them to create their own work. I'm no musician, but I'm willing to find an art career. I want to aspire those just like what Skylar Spence's music did to me. That right there is powerful. Thank you Ryan and Carpark Records, just thanks for the amazing music, and thank you for helping me during these hard times. Great mixtape btw, much love! ❤

As a fan of Daft Punk since the release of Human After All and a fan of Skylar Spence since before Hit Vibes, this is so familiar but also so fresh and... wow Cuz leme give you a background on me, i started listening to Ryan's music in the summer break between 2012-2013 (yes, summer in Brazil happens while winter happens in lets say Europe or the US), and i was around 14 years old, so puberty and beginning of teenage And Cry Wolf & Carousel dropped in 2018 when i was in the last year of high school at 19 So to sum it up, Skylar Spence in my head means teenage, different from cheesy teen stuff, it means my teenage, it means the memories that i built when i was between 14 and 20. Ok, i know some of you may be 40, 50, 60, maybe more and thinking "huh, that was only two years ago" yeah but... two years, at least for me, its a lot, specially THESE last 2 years, after high school ended and i entered college and started working, things happened really quickly, i only have a taste of what is like being an adult and since then i kinda... You know when you stop listening to some artists for a while? Most of the artists from the Vaporwave/Future Funk were my case, but this week, specifically i went to listen 'Affairs' by Skylar Spence and... i realized that i didnt even remember how the song sounded like, i didnt have a saved mp3 file in my head, just some metadata, if that makes any sense, and as soon as the song started playing, the first seconds before the drum fill comes in, i cried. And then i listened to Prom King and some older Saint Pepsi times and now... well now this... Thank you so much
