Hell fucking yeah, this is one badass truck right here! We've built a few RB powered cars and grew up driving mini-trucks, seeing this combination sure gets me thinking about a future project!
Nice truck. Still learning about mine and how to work on it. Someone went overboard on the spotwelding on mine. It has dimples. Gotta resto the bed as well. It's got those common dimple rust area dings on the side of the bed. The previous owner painted over everything and kept the original wiring -_-. Which means it's brittle but I sure like my truck.
Not sure if it was just a smooth road or a dialed in air suspension but, it definitely looked like it was driving nice. Not a big fan of the music or the ride position but, it looks great overall.
My Pops own 2 of those trucks one he bought new off the lot in 69 and the 2nd one years later for $100 had to tow it home but had it running the same day
KingOfNines Not saying its a bad thing...just the comment on hot rodders having something today they didnt before. Im happy that people still want to build em for sure but nothing new :) People used to make DOHC swaps for model A engines back in the day... from scratch. Just because we have different technologies today in no way means people today are more innovative.....simply not the case. The first carmakers had to figure out how make the ENTIRE car from the spark plugs to the horn......without google. Without computers at all. Those people would consider what people are doing in 2016 a walk in the park once they had time to learn how modern stuff works. People forget that technology is advanced by building on existing technologies. IMO those people were at a minimum just as smart as we are today. Anyone who would think that Elon Musk and Henry Ford wouldnt get along is silly:D In the future people will look upon our modern society and remark on its quaint simplicity.....
and I by mine. glad the rodding craft is alive and well but until someone swaps a tesla model S platform into a classic body nothing new has really happened.
I like it, but i dont get it, put a rb engine in to make it go fast, bag it so now it cant go fast (i'm waiting for that one guy that claims that bags are used in race cars) and now the truck has a shallow bed so it cant carry fuck all. So basically its a posers car.
You obviously haven't seen much of the street-truck scene. Bagging trucks has been a thing since lifting trucks basically. You should check out some old mini trucks and c/10's
I love seeing these trucks gain popularity. I own one myself and it is a very fun truck to drive around I can't imagine how much fun it is to drive one with a Rb25det plus these trucks only weigh around 2250 pounds stock!
LOVE the Pickup, music and damn hard work that went into it. Not a fan of lowering so far, but it's yours to do as you wish. That color is awesome too !!! :D
(Future build) 620 regular cab. How much of the firewall needed to be removed in order to fit an RB25DET complete with 5SPD and IRS off of a 240SX. Just an inquiry.
Am a Toyota person I own a rn80 but I still have to give a shout out and big respect to those who build nice and exotic machines love the build keep up the good work....
Love watching this video. That truck build is crazy, but I'm not in love with the driving stance with the ass hanging low. Just somehow seems to take away from the power that thing is throwing down. Raked properly or nice and even.
Who originally built this truck? Looking at doing the same thing with a rb26. Wondering if they had to move the firewall and what else modifications they had to do to the body.
I know this is an older video, but does anyone know how they worked the flare into the bed side? It's totally custom and bad ass. Anyone have a build thread for this ?????
Great looking truck only people who truly appreciate personal builds will appreciate this as much as I do ! All the haters on here can blow off you always gotta down people this is a little best
