I have done some very cool and effective mods on my Eagle V2: 1) didn't install the wing servos, not needed AT ALL unless you want to do rolls, also reduces weight. 2) airbrushed the eagle's body & wing and photo printed an eagle head - MUCH more realistic looking. 3) added an MP4 sound module flashed with genuine eagle screams - controlled by a tx switch 4) permanently removed the rubber bands and used neodymium magnets instead 5) created a hinged 'hatch' on the top of the eagles head for easy battery access
These EPP and ply Eagles have been issued in several sizes over the years. They have all been pretty good powered gliders and slope soarers. This house rebrand should be no different though, since the front "beak" motor mount is their 1 weak point, they usually are set up with a rubber band prop mount rather than a nut to give the mount a better chance of a long life.
Looks like this could be set up with elevons.. It would be cool to see a version of this with larger elevons. Faster higher performance with the same nice gliding characteristics. It'd be funny to see this Eagle ripping around.
Wesley I have the old DW 1200m version to which I added ailerons to assist turning so it is good to see the Skynetic version with these added. Tail feather angle is fairly critical, too flat and rudder will be ineffective.
