This song might be too difficult for you if you are a beginner, but when I say "difficult", it doesn't mean that you cannot learn and play it. It depends on how much you practice. If you practice efficiently, you might be able to play this song in just 6 months or maybe 3 months after you start playing guitar. You don't have to play it perfectly(like 100% identical to the original or something), but it is important to "have fun", give it everything you've got and don't push yourself too hard ;)
+King Marth it's really hard and only works for electric guitar( if ur a beginner u SHOULD be starting with the acoustic) the electric is harder to play.
I have to Disagree, having played both 6 and twelve string Electric and Accoustic Guitars, Electric is by far the easier one to play, the only difficulty that I find more prevalent in the electric guitar is accidently scratching the strings when strumming or plucking, which can ruin the sound you're aiming for.

You know you could legitimately sell you arrangement of this cover if you tabbed it. I'd buy that in a heart beat, I can play the guitar but can't do anything by ear (being half deaf in one ear doesn't help tbh xd). Do you have any plans to write out the tab? Or should I just give up now?

Probably because there was a likely chance that they didn't speak Japanese. (At least, maybe not at the time. Who knows about now?) Not only that, but it's also quite hard to learn how to both sing and play an instrument at the same time. You have to control your vocal pitch while focusing on certain movements.
For me the problem is not that much in how to play it more than just I'm more experienced in classic guitar than electric one and I don't know how to achieve electric guitar effect where I could play on all 6 strings and it would actually sound good. When I play on all 6 strings on my guitar its just becomes incomprehensible noise.
I'm really sorry, I can't tell you (_ _) because there are so many ways to set the amp or effect to sound like this(or better than this). You have to be patient and keep setting the amp(or the effect) until it matches your style. But if you want to know my equipment, I use Line6 pod hd500x connected directly to my laptop.
