All I could think when you said lady of the lake was that Monty Python scene "Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords is no basis for government!" "If i went around saying i was queen cause some watery tart lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd lock me away"🤣
The sword in the stone isnt Excalibur, he gets that sword afterward when the lady of the lake gives it to him. Caliburn is the one in the stone but it breaks
Yeah when I did research it says it’s depends on the version of the story because I searched up “Are Caliburn and Excalibur the same?” And it says this. “In some versions, Excalibur (also called Caliburn) is the same as the sword in the stone. However, most early versions of King Arthur's story consider the two different.” So that’s why I chose to say it depends on the version of the story because I have no idea :)
Think Arthur put the sword in the stones making the arthurian law, he who can withdraw the sword from the stone pillar will be the righteous king of the Britains (And who are the Britains?)
